Best healing place ever – I went to Life Healing Center in 2011 and it is now coming up on a year since I discharged. I look @ how much LHC has changed my life, right from the very first phone call. The staff was amazing and everyone was very compassionate and helpful. I went in with severe P.T.S.D., alcoholism and a gambling addiction. From the housekeepers clear to the Director, I was given encouragement and hope.
When I thought my life was over, they told me it was just beginning. The knowledge they shared with me and the therapy I was given, saved my life. They helped me realize that I had the strength within to come out of this happy, healthy and whole.
Reflecting over the year, I am in awe. To think I was at the end of my life and being shown that it was only the beginning is nothing short of a miracle. I am so grateful for each and everyone there for believing in me until I could believe in myself. They gave me my life back.
IF you are willing to put your head down and do the work.....it is the best thing you can do for yourself. Go for it.
If you go in and don't do the work, you will regret it. You owe it to yourself to "have it all." This IS the place to find healing.
I had read other reviews from people and knew one of them who gave a bad review. That individual didn't want to do the work. She focused on everybody else except her trauma. It was really sad because she could have worked through things to have a more fullfilling life. Some people just aren't ready. Go in and do the work. You'll never regret it.
Don't Send Your Loved Ones to the Life Healing Center – My adult daughter was in treatment for addiction issues and PTSD at the Life Healing Center in January, 2011. While there she was taken twice to St. Vincent’s Hospital for evaluation and treatment, once by ambulance. Director Mary Young told me much later that my daughter was “paranoid and delusional.” She was administered two anti-psychotic drugs at the hospital, and continued one of the drugs upon her return to the LHC, administered by staff there. She quickly developed a toxic reaction to the drug resulting in headaches, physical tremors, loss of vision, and mental confusion. She was then released, alone, without LHC’s notifying anyone, to travel by cab, 65 miles to the emergency room at University of New Mexico Hospital in Albuquerque. She spent two days in UNM’s emergency room and another five days as an in-patient trying to negate the toxic effects of the drugs administered by LHC. My daughter was only released when her father and I agreed to travel from Texas and accept responsibility for her care and follow up treatment. I am shocked that LHC would release a person alone who had less than a week earlier been placed in the acute psychiatric unit of the Santa Fe hospital. The manner of her release by LHC indicates callous incompetence. I would strongly recommend that no one send any family member to the Life Healing Center.
