Great Place stayed there last December while going to Dolphins Jags game
Shula's winning tradition on the field continues at this classy steakhouse chain. – In Short
The chop house's elegance is indisputable, yet there is an oddly casual spirit to a place in which the menu is written on a football and set at your table on a kicking tee. Certified Angus Beef doesn't come cheap, and the sides are priced a la carte, but the nationally renowned steakhouse always finds a way to make the cut for those willing to pay for quality.
On a steady decline – I've been a miami lakes resident and patron of Shulas 2 for years. The menu which consisted of original items like the veggie roll and steak soup was replaced for a carbon copy of Houstons menu. Their happy hour = .50cents off the regular price (house brands only) and the Sunday brunch which used to be extensive is very limited now. I quit going to the brunch when i saw items from the brunch on the lunch buffet the following day. Its almost 9.00 for a black label on the rocks. They had local radio station WQAM broadcasting live there, then brought in second rate 790. All the great bartenders that used to give good service and conversation have left, and it's my understanding that they have had several Chefs in just a couple years, which leads me to believe that Shulas has lost touch with what lures customers and keeps them. The only highlight of the Shulas2 experience remaining is their Emcee Dave, who offers up trivia, and seems to know right away if he can get a particular game on for you. When Dave finally leaves my years long patronage with Shulas will have gone from frequent, to seldom, to never. Everyone i've talked to seems to feel the same way.
Good Choice, but ... – Always a good seat with lots of viewing choices on the many, many tvs. The food is ok, some is even very good, depending upon how busy the place is.
Dave, the host for gamedays, is a definite highlight. The service is spotty; It's hard to believe the really ditzy ones don't mess up on purpose.
Relaxing – Shulas 2 is an easy going Bar/Resturant with a fine
humidor for that after meal cigar.
Great 4 Sports, a little more – This place is great to watch a game, but it does have its drawbacks. The service is regularly slow, the menu is good but not very long, and if you are looking for girls this doesn't have much of a selection.
Never too hard to find a place to sit.
Their name should be Shula's Steak #1 – Great Restaurant. Loved the Steak! Would recommend to all my friends.
