Went here about a year ago – Long time to wait to do a review I know but just found this site. It was "ok" for the price and portions of food that are served you can go to a places like momo sushi and get same amount of shisimi and pay less. It was really that good of a place the table placement is spread out to make you think it holds more ppl then it actually does. The quality is a little under buffet style all you can eat sushi places. Just wasn't that good. I'm sure the few very good reviews of this place are from employees there and from friends of the owners. There are other much better japanese places close by to this place I would suggest to anyone they should try the other places.

Saporo Sushi: Worst service ever...or should I say complete lack of service. – The reason I give this place a single star is because of the horrendous service. Once we were sat, we waited for over 10 minutes without even being acknowledged. i kid you not. There was one other table in this place and the "waitress" if you can even call her that, would not even make eye contact with us but yet she fussed over this one other table. She got their drink order, took the drinks out, got their food order, put their food order in, came back to the table to bring out the empty plates and soy sauce dishes and then walked into the back kitchen and that is when we decided we couldn't sit there anymore and decided to leave....Meanwhile the "hostess" who was an older woman just sat on her butt and didn't even bother to do anything either. As a waitress myself, there is a lot I will tolerate when i go out to eat because I know how it is....this was inexcusable. The way the economy is right now, you'd think people would be jumping at tables who come in. Apparently SAPORO feels differently. Will never attempt to go here again.

Best Sushi in the valley! WAIT~~~ NEW OWNERSHIP~~~ – I have tried all the sushi places in the valley and they don't compare. The owner takes pride on getting the best quality fish. He also makes sure the sushi is fresh or he gets rid of it. The prices are a slight bit more, but it's the best quality fish. Try some signature rolls....yummmmmy.

WAIT!!!! New ownership......NOT THE SAME QUALITY~~~The owner is opening a new place called Planet Sushi on the other side of the valley :-(

Great Food. – First of all, please do not get confused with this restraunt and the Sapporo's on Flamingo Road. They are completely different restaurants with different owners. This is Saporo Sushi in Henderson.

This restaurant is excellent and has great food. They do not take reservations so if you decide to go on a Friday night, try to go early as they are very busy.

Highly recommended! – Let me just say Saporo Sushi in Henderson (NOT SAPPORO'S - They are not affiliated) is the best. Ive never been to a place as great as this one when it comes to Japanese. Not only do they have great sushi but they also have great kitchen items as well. This place has everything to offer: fantastic food, fantastic atmosphere, and fantastic service. I highly recommend this restaurant and congratulations to them for being nominated - they deserve it!

Doesn't live up to the hype – This place was pretty hyped up for it's great food and low prices. Too much hype. If your going for sushi... not that great. My simple tuna roll, and salmon sushi seemed to be left out for a long while before being served, slightly warm, not fresh tasting. The service was comparable to a Denny's not spectacular. At one point, a busser came next to me with his full tub of other people's dirty dishes to pull off my plate that the server had forgotten on his run by. This was disgusting. My friends had other dishes such as chinese and american, not too impressed. I would rather go to Kona Grill (If I had to choose), Saporo had the same concept but not the same quality. Don't bother with the cheesecake, prefrozen, mass produced tasting. How hard can it be to find good cheesecake? The prices were not that low, not that it matters when the food is good. I would pass on this place next time around. I don't like, not liking a new place, perhaps they might get better as time goes by.

Good times – Stopped in for a try and loved it. Didn't want to spend too much time going over the menu, so my husband and I when with the chef's recommendations. Good choices!! I don't know why the place was so empty. The staff was extremely pleasant. I will be back.

Friendly place, bad fish – I was excited to take my wife here for lunch, but we were sadly disappointed. The staff was very friendly and we were seated right away in the nearly empty restaurant, and then came the sushi. I am usually pretty tolerant of the lower fish quality, having moved from Hawaii to the Bay Area, then to Nevada, but this was pushing the limits. The fishy smell was so strong that my wife did not finish her sashimi lunch, and I could not finish my chirashi bowl either. We did not have the courage to go back and try again.
