I took my 4 year old son in today for his first dental visit ever. The entire staff was great! The front desk ladies were friendly and up front on billing, Yesica, the dental higenist was AWESOME, and Dr. Webelir was also great with my son.
Awful! – I would give zero stars if I could. DO NOT take your child to this dentist if they are remotely uncooperative. My son is 6 years old and diagnosed with Autism. The dentist was aware of this. My son has not been extremely cooperative with these exams. During his last visit my son pushed him away. The dentist SCREAMED " don't touch me!". Does he think he is going to contract Autism?? Then my son bit down when he was inside his mouth and he screamed again. I was in complete shock and did not say anything during the visit. I called the office later and the receptionist stated that the dentist was using a technique. Are you kidding me? I have worked with people with disabilities for years and never heard of such a thing. Bottom line, this dentist is horrible and badly trained!
Billing Dept and Front Office Staff were just awful – I have had several billing issues with this office. When I first began going there on my daughter's second visit they informed me that my insurance company had been billed and had denied my claim. It was only for a routine cleaning so I knew that this was not the truth since my insurance fully covered this type of visit. After several calls and wasted time between my insurance company stating that they never received the claim and the office staff reassuring me that they had sent it to the insurance company, I finally found out the they had been sending it to the incorrect address. I had provided all of the correct insurance information over the phone and also provided them a copy of my insurance card at the time of visit so I was concerned as to how they could get this wrong but I decided to give them another chance after the whole situation. Boy, was I wrong. After the 4th visit they decided that they would take X-rays that were not covered by my insurance coverage. I had called to speak to my insurance company and they covered every type of x-ray except for this "special" one. I was not notified at the time of visit that these possibly would not be covered under my insurance and they tried to justify it by telling me that I should have been more informed. Aren't they the ones that should inform me of this? After several calls again and more wasted time between my insurance company and the office they were unwilling to help me out in the situation and every office staff person that I spoke with was unhelpful and unknowledgable. They made promises to call back and never did and they also gave me several different answers every time I called back but in the end they were unwilling to resolve anything with me. DO NOT go here because you will definitely be misinfomed and have billing issues. The one good thing I can say about the office are the dentists. They were great but it is not worth the headache of all the other issues I have had to go back.
great dentist, DEPLORABLE business practices – The dentist was great. However, he is totally detached from what happens with the office staff and does not seem to care either. If you go here, you WILL receive quality service from the dentist. If you go here, your bill WILL be messed up for years. They WILL NOT bill your insurance correctly. They WILL NOT help you get it taken care of. They WILL NOT give you correct information regarding your insurance coverage. CALL YOUR INSURANCE FOR THAT. I repeat, they WILL NOT give you correct information about insurance coverage. They WILL LIE or MISLEAD you about whether or not they accept your insurance. The office staff has mismanaged my account for years. I paid bill after bill after bill and just when I thought it was done, I get another bill from over 18 months ago because it was "a computer glitch and it was in another system" I have NEVER seen more unprofessional business practices from any firm in my entire life and I worked at the BBB for many years where, as the manager, I heard never ending complains all day long. There horrible billing practices tops them all. So, you will get quality service from the dentist, but believe me, you will wish you never had teeth when you are finished with these people. As a side note, I sent the doctor a letter about this assuming he was unaware. It seems he prefers it that way, because I never heard back from him.
