Much better since the last time we were here. – The first time we say this zoo we were cracking up about the state it was in. We didn't even think it qualified to be called a zoo.
This place is totally different now and we actually didn't laugh about it. We enjoyed ourselves and had good quality time as a family.
If we lived in Las Vegas, we would donate to help this zoo grow but we have zoo's that have their own problems back home.
we will be going back next year.
From chickens to cougars, this zoo has plenty for wee ones. – The Ambiance
At three acres, this tiny zoo is the perfect size for small children. Although quarters are cramped for the creatures and life includes central Las Vegas urban noise, they are well cared-for and lack the apparent cynicism you've seen in animals at larger parks.
Chickens and pigeons will trail you until your cup of bird food runs out. The many peacocks are shier. In fact, the number and variety of birds are a highlight of the zoo. You'll still get to find yourself nose to nose with a 21-year-old tiger and almost as close to a pair of 2-year-old lions. The chimp and Barbary apes are downright "personable" and the temptation to stick your fingers into the cage of a gregarious macaw will be difficult to overcome. Instead, go pet the goats, solebut soft and friendly residents of the petting zoo.
