POPâ??s Cheesesteaks serves authentic cheesesteaks in Las Vega – #32 Peppers & Mushroom Cheese Steak is grilled sliced beef with grilled peppers, onions, mushrooms, and your choice of cheese. This is the best cheesesteak I have ever had! I’ve had them in Philadelphia and, I have to say, POP’S is so much better. The meat is to die for! It is cooked to perfection – juicy and full of flavor. The vegetables are cooked with the meat so the uber beef flavor envelops the vegetables like a warm blanket. Just like Pat’s, they served Cheez Whiz. If you’re not a fan, try it on the side first. The provolone cheese melts to a gooey goodness and covers every bit. The Amoroso bread is wonderful. It has a sturdy crust on the outside, light and airy on the inside. It has a subtle french/sourdough taste to it which works great with the steak. Thumbs up, way up!

Best Cheesesteak ever – I read the negative reviews and must wonder what have these reviewers been smoking. I'm from Philly and this place serves a cheesesteak that is so much better than Jim's, Pat's, Gino's, Tony Luke's, or any place back home. Hey, the staff are all experienced and the grill masters have been makin' great cheesesteaks for years. Everyone is very helpful, friendly, and gracious. The cashier even brought my girlfriend's chef's salad out to the table. The bread is awesome! Best I've ever tasted, anywhere. The meat is always seasoned and cooked to perfection and the serving is so big I rarely finish it. It's always pouring over the sides of the huge, fresh, melt in your mouth roll. The cashier always politely wraps what I can't finish for me to take home. They offer wiz, provolone, american, jack, cheddar, swiss, and another cheese I never heard of. I think most of the cheeses are for the other deli sandwiches they make.

Personally, I think the value was fantastic. They say you get 8oz of steak but they eyeball it and for every cheesesteak I've seen them make, I know there is more than 8 oz in them. You can order double meat but I never would. It would just be waaayyyy tooo much steak. There is usually a long line in front of me and behind me and the parking lot is full which says a lot about a place. I asked the grill master when they raised the prices (just a habit, I always ask every waiter that. It totally pisses off my girl) and he said three years ago. Let's see, that would be 2006 or 2007? I couldn't believe it. I don't know where the cheapskates who complain about the prices eat, but this place serves a whole lotta quality at a very fair price. I guess if you eat that garbage at the buffets all the time, you might think $8 for a cheesesteak was a small fortune. Like anything else though, you get what you pay for.

I am so glad I ate here. Now it's my favorite place and I'm hooked. I've been eating at POP's every week for the past two months and the cheesesteaks are always consistently great. Never had a complaint and never heard a complaint from anybody. I did hear one guy say he wished they had one in Henderson. I haven't decided whether I like the year round outdoor dining, but hey, it's authentic! Whenever I have friends from back home come to town, POP's is the first place on our list. Thank you, Pop's and keep it up! Don't listen to those idiots who don't know a Philly from a ham sandwich.

Sorry no return visit from me. – I am not from Philly however I do know good meat and flavor. This sandwich had no flavor. The meat was dry and had no taste, It was like eating a ground beef sandwich. In addition, I ordered fries and boy was that a mistake, dry and over cooked. Not worth my $25 for two. I would not recommed this place to any Philly Steak expert. Sorry...Pops..

love it! – I told them it was my first time, and they made a great philly steak and cheese with peppers and mushrooms. Man that sandwich was awesome! I love their food and their nice service, plus they are open 24 hours!

Good to go – I love this place for quick stop to pick up a to go order (due to the tables being outside). I have been going for years and am offened by the bad reviews. I have always been greeted well & never been disapointed in the food. The pizza steak with peperoni & pizza sauce is sure to become a favorite for any average joe. As for these stuck up reviewers looking for a high class philly is like looking for a oxymoron moron because this hands down is the best spot in town for a philly.

P.S. The wings and sweet potatoes fries are awesome

great 2am food – Pop's is kinda sleazy in its ambience, service and clientele, but I think it just adds to the character of the place. It's a cheesesteak joint, fer cryin' outloud! It's supposed to be a little sleazy. I could picture this place holding its own right next to Gino's and Pat's in Philly. Super big and tasty portions and open 24 hours. I love the peppers-- kinda briny. Yum!

They might call it Philly Steak, but I say nay nay – If this is the best Las Vegas has to offer it might be time for a trip to Philly. It looked like a Philly steak sandwich, but that?s about as far as it gets. The building looks authentic, and the staff has bad attitudes, but that?s as Philly as it gets. The meat is cooked in a large pile on the griddle, so it?s woefully over cooked. Cheese steak should be cooked in small amounts, so that the meat is seared on both sides, but not stringy. The cheese (and I?m referring to the whiz, since that?s a true Philly. Much like good Philly restaurants they do offer provolone), was far too runny, and had very little flavor. They do offer Wit and Witout at no extra charge (not a spelling error; they seem to have trouble with the h in Philly); for those of you that don?t know what that means it?s simply with or without grilled onions. I would normally add the sweet peppers and mushrooms, but this place wanted close to 2 bucks more for them. As it turned out I spent $15 for a sandwich, cheese fries, and soda. All in all this was a very disappointing visit. If you?ve never had a good cheese steak try making one at home. The website for Pat?s King of Steaks in Philly (the originator of the steak sandwich) has a recipe for those that can?t make the trip just for a sandwich.

A cheesesteak yes, a good cheesesteak... NO – First, the customer service was rude. They were not busy and they didn't even manage to say hello. My order was barked through a semi-transparent grease plugged screen. The prices were astronomical. A works cheese steak, coke, and fries for $15?

Second, the product itself: My first bite left me depressed, the juices and cheese were watery and bland. A hint of the cheese wiz was there, but no beefy flavor, no saltiness, and certainly it lacked the altogether decadent flavor of a cheese steak sandwich.

The buns are not great either. After ten minutes I tested the bread to see if the juices had been soaked up; they hadn't. The bread is far too robust for a great cheese steak, it couldn?t soak up any of the juices and I found that I was chewing the bread more than the steak itself.

The meat didn't taste like beef! They grilled it in a HUGE pile where is stewed and boiled instead of grilled. Ever heard of the Millard reaction? Golden brown and delicious! This didn't have any of that!

Peppers and mushrooms: Huge chunks of bell pepper, undercooked and bland. I couldn't even tell I had mushrooms at all. Not worth the extra $2 in the least. They detracted from the overall flavor and enjoyment.

The cheese: Cheese is what makes a cheese steak. I've seen it at home, room temperature cheese wiz sets up, and it gets thick. This cheese wiz must have been thinned down. It never got thick. The cheese was flaccid in both texture and flavor.

They use thick cut, floppy fries for their cheese fries. I found myself thinking I was eating mashed potatoes with watery cheese wiz slopped on top. I actually wanted to salt them for more flavor. Thick fries can work, you just need to get them really crispy and keep them fresh.

Overall it was too little flavor and satisfaction for the large sum of money I paid. I will be looking for a better restaurant next time for sure. I give this place thumbs down.

best Philly in Vegas – If your looking for a Philly like you'd get or expect in Phili istelf, then try this place.. It can be up to $10 per person but is well worth it, it's made fresh in front of you and I love the Philly with provolone and cheez whiz! The cheese fries are delicious too! If you like cheesesteaks, try this place! Sometimes there can be a long line but they are open 24/7
