The king of restaurants – I have dined at many fine restaurants, steakhouses being my favorite (comfort food.) I can always count on Morton's to leave me feeling pampered and stuffed in the best way possible. Whether I am in Honolulu or Chicago I can get a reservation at the worlds best four diamond chain and count on a special night of standard setting food and service. The Las Vegas location is no exception, in fact the food and service was beyond the Morton's norm. For an introduction to fine dining or a favorite place for special occasions Morton's will always impress.

The standard by which you will judge all other restaurants. – The service was impeccable, and the food was truley outstanding. I had the bone-in filet, it was so tough I almost had to put pressure on my fork to cut it. Try the carrot cake; the finest was to get your veggies. Once you have the crab cake here no other crab cake will compare. All in all fantastic.

USDA prime beef, elegant tableside service and mammoth martinis. – In Short
With its dark wood details, celebrity photos and tuxedo-clad waiters, this upscale steakhouse chain has the air of a posh men's club. Service is professional and discreet, with bartenders making a mean martini. Dinners begin with a waiter-driven cart laden with fresh vegetables, live lobster and cuts of steak; customers choose from porterhouse, rib-eye, bone-in prime rib and more. Side dishes are traditional and enormous, from baked potatoes and creamed spinach to steamed broccoli with hollandaise.

Awful Filet Mignon, under cooked potatoes, and poor quality hors d'oeuvres – I went with a business group of about 45 people to the Morton's at 400 East Flamingo Road in Las Vegas on Friday March 2, 2007. The menu that was arranged in advance for the group had three choices, a 14 oz. filet mignon, a chicken dish, and a salmon dish. They all came with steamed redskin potatoes, a steamed vegetable medley, Caesar salad, and a choice of two desserts. The waiters were attentive and mixed drinks, wine, and beer were delivered very quickly. The Caesar salad was quite good with fresh lettuce and good dressing and cheese. However the filet mignon was of very poor quality. It was cooked as everyone ordered, but everybody's was full of gristle, tough, and lacking a good beef flavor. The potatoes that everyone received were only about 1/2 done. When I mentioned this to the one of the waiters, he acknowledged what I said, but made absolutely no effort to do anything about it. The vegetables in the vegetable medley were very good. We had a very large assortment of hors d?oeuvres served family style before the meal. The hors d'oeuvres were awful. One of the hors d'oeuvres was made of crab meat. It had a very strong taste, unlike any serving of a crab dish that I have ever had, and I am from the east coast and I know what it should taste like. Another hors d?oeuvre was supposed to be roast beef, it was very tough and did not have a very good beef flavor either. The cheesecake that I had for dessert was outstanding.

Overall, the experience was awful. I will never come back to Morton's Steak House in Las Vegas.

Fine Dining Failure – A recent rip to Las Vegas and a stop at Morton's located at 400 East Flamingo Rd on 01/20/07 had us leaving with disapointment. Service was fine. Part of our meal was a $52.00 steak 14 oz fillet which was about 7 oz of grizzle. It was cooked medium as requested. Unfortunately the wait staff had stopped by a little quick after getting our food and then we didn't see them until after we were done. They apoligized and made a gracious attempt at rectifying the problem by offering us dessert or an after dinner drink, which we did not want and graciously declined. I am not sure if their policy is to not deduct money from the bill, personally we were full with what we ate, and told them not to worry about it as I didn't want to cause an issue. At the same time, I feel that they should have inspected the steak (fillet mignon) before it was prepared which would have easily been seen as a poor cut of meat. I am sure we will not go to another Morton's as Ruth's Chris, Vic & Anthony's, and Perry's have all proved to be exceptional when it comes to a steakhouse with a fine dining appeal.

Awesome dinner experience – A group of us came here for a business dinner and had an awesome time. Our waiter suggested great wine to accompany our steaks. Their sides were decent but the steaks are the real reason to come here. Everything ended up being about $90/person.

No really sure! – EXCELLENT food! The Waiter.........now he was VERY impersonal almost uncomfortable. Loved the dessert too! Would I go back? Hmmmmmmmmmm! For $425 I expected a little more hospitality.

simply fine dining – the filet will melt in your mouth and the godiva chocolate cake you must order when you order your dinner so they can make it and bake it from scratch.

We always try to find a Mortons – We enjoy the atmosphere and quality of the dining experience. We take our friends when traveling together, and enjoy the romance of dining as a couple. We believe Morton's is special enough for an engagement proposal, or a wedding anniversary dinner. We have dined in several other Mortons across the country, and have enjoyed a lovely evening in each of them. We recommend this restaurant to all of our friends who are seeking a fine dining experience.
