Exceeded my expectations – After reading some of the reviews here I wasn't expecting a lot from my stay. However I am pleased to say that I was pleasantly surprised. It's a great hotel but if any of you are looking to save some $$ then book it at SweetHotelDeals.us They usually have some pretty good deals on there!

Dirty suite, total rip off – There might be nice suites in this hotel, but we paid a lot of money for three nights in what we believed to be a fancy, luxurious suite in Venezia Tower for New Years Eve, which proved to be a major disappointment. The ad showed a beautiful room and the reality hit us in the head. The hotel is all facade, opulent and fancy outside, and a total rip off inside. Basically, we got a dirty, old, beat up suite, and a 3 star hotel conditions for a fairly large amount of money. First, our suite was like 15 minutes walking through a maze of corridors (took us a day to learn our way to our suite), and 3 elevators far away from all the casino, restaurants, and shopping area. The corridors are carpeted in what used to be a yellow carpet, which now is an ugly, dirty, stained, poorly looking rug. Our suite was even more horrible. The couch was literally covered in stains and traces of what looked like red wine combined with vomit. The same on the carpet, and around the beds area. On the sheets there was hair, in one of the sinks there was a dry spit. The toilet door was broken and couldn't be closed for privacy. One of the curtain rods was broken as well, and the curtain was hanging letting a gap. We hoped that it'll be fixed the next day, but... nope... nobody seemed to care. The safe was broken, we complained, nobody came in three days to fix it. there was dust in all the corners, two bulbs were missing, and the advertised "fast" internet connection was so "fast" that I couldn't even watch a movie on Netflix. The shampoo and soap in the bathroom were cheap products, and all the towels and bathrobes were yellowish and starchy.
On top of all these, all the rooms around were packed with either large families with numerous kids, or groups of punks sharing the same room. There was a lot of noise, banged doors, yelling, crying, loud music. I know it's Vegas, but sorry, if I want this, I go to a cheap motel, and not pay $500 a night. All the corridors smelled like marijuana combined with that perfume they pump in the ventilation.
I have stayed in 5 star hotels before and I thought this one would be another beautiful experience, but it was just a good reason to ruin my new year's eve.
I can't believe we were so ripped off by this hotel and I recommend everybody looking into what you're buying very carefully before being charged for one thing and end up being stuck in dirt, and cheap conditions for a lot of money.
I see good reviews here and I wonder whether they are just fake, or people really had better conditions in this hotel. And if so, how much do you have to pay to be able to be pleased and make 5 star reviews. Because I would say $500 a night should have made us at least feel comfortable if not fascinated with this place.
This was definitely the first and the last time we stayed in this hotel. It's a shame that such a place compromises its image with cheap looking, overpriced suites.
blood on my bed – I was expecting this amazing room, it was sorta beat up and old, the safe didn't work we had to wait for hotel security and an engineer to come fix it (just in case someone left cash in it). Just not impressed with a 5 star hotel. TI was much much better. There was blood on the top sheet but i didn't notice until the second day, it took them 1 hour to come and change my bedding. I had a bad hang over and didn't put up a fight, and just waited it out, they didn't comp me or anything. I did like the location the view was great all the lights and the view of the mountains were great at night. I like the remote control curtains that blacked out the day light...I would not stay there again sooo much going on.
Great Hotel, Extremely Busy – Had the opportunity to stay at the Venetian this past week on a comped account and it was a great experience. The hotel screams opulence as soon as you walk through the front door with ancient murals painted on the ceiling and along large marble hallway.
The casino caters to a higher end clientele on the strip and it's tough to find a table under $15-20 during the week, and under $20 on the weekends, forget about it. Slots are plenty and usually you can find something open with no issues. The drink service is not as good as some of the others I visited, but maybe it's just where you are playing.
The room we had was a nice sized suite with a full bathroom with separate tub and steam shower, two queen beds, sunken in living room with panoramic window overlooking the pools and the strip. The room had multiple flat panel televisions, large sectional couch, plenty of clothing storage, a dining table and nice sized desk. Overall the room was clean, but the couch seemed pretty dated, but maybe that was just the motif they were going for.
If you're in the mood to shop, there is plenty to do without walking outside. There is pretty much every high end boutique you can think of in this resort between the connected Palazzo shoppes and the Canal shops at the Venetian. If you are looking for a show, the Ventian is host to Blue Man Group and Phantom of the Opera.
Plenty to do here at the Venetian and great hotel, especially if it's comped!
Queen for the Stay! – I will always stay at the Venetian when I go to Vegas because it has always been excellent from beginning to end. The rooms are cleaned to perfection, the restaurant food is wonderful, and the staff treat me with friendly, courteous respect while I am their guest. It seems like I spend all my time there because that is where the action is! This resort/casino is geared to making sure their guests have a memorable experience during their visit. Hats off to the Venetian... I look forward to my next "Queen for the stay"!
Not Really Five Star – Like a lot of people say the rooms would not be this dirty in a real five star hotel. Thick dust under lamps and coffee table. Threadbare furniture on some chairs. The mini-bar is electronically set that you are charged if you move an item, which they warned us about at the front desk, however what they DIDN't tell us that the tray on top of the cabinet that holds the mini-bar is also electronically monitored and since the door to the cabinet was broken it moved the items in the tray and we were charged!! I won't be staying here again. It is a 3 star hotel with gilt.
Service does not reflect price – I can't believe that in a place where they charge a FORTUNE for their suites, that there were hairs on our pillow and our bathtub was not washed!!! What kind of people to they have working there that do not know how to clean rooms? So ridiculous and will never stay there again. We were too tired to complain to the front desk and removed the hairy pillow and washed the tub ourselves. Disgusting! Stay clear of this place. It looks gorgeous on the outside, but the rooms are dirty from the inside. This place needs a new cleaning service from the sounds of the other reviews.
be careful what you sign at the front desk – I had reservations at Caesars but when I arrived they had no record of my reservation so I phoned the Venetian and they said they had a room available. I arrived at the Venetian and checked in for six nights.
I gave them my Visa and signed the signature pad on the desk as requested to cover any extra charges to the room,telephone,mini bar etc. I had been quoted $200 per night over the phone and when I checked in.
When I checked out I was charged $472 per night. When I complained they said I signed for it. They brought out a piece of paper with my signature on it. The signature was an electronic signature that they took off the signature pad and put it on the form that indicated that there was an upgrade charge of $272 per night. I told them that I didn't sign that form. I asked to speak to a manager. They said that the manager wasn't available. I asked to speak to the general manager but he wasn't available either.
I was checking out and I had to get to the airport. I was there with a large group from Vision Expo West.
I have tried to dispute this charge with Visa but without success yet. I will be contacting Vision Expo West to lay a complaint. I will also file a complaint with Nevada Consumer Affairs.
STAINED BEDDING & HAIRS ON SHEETS – We checked into our room to be greeted by hairs on our bedding. They then replaced them with STAINED sheets. It literally took 3 hours from the time of check in for them to finally change us to a clean suite. Our stay here was awful due to the poor service and obvious lack of hygiene. The Bellagio is by far a superior hotel. Make a smart investment and stay at the Bellagio instead. My stays at the Bellagio are nothing short of perfect but I wanted to try out the venetian based on all the positive reviews. Save your time, money, and sanity and book elsewhere. Besides, the suites at the Bellagio are far nicer!
