terrible customer service – Horrible customer service!!!
So my amazing boyfriend who lives out of town decides to order me flowers because I wasn't feeling well. He wanted them delivered to my work and he wanted it to be a surprise. And just so the reader knows he is about the kindest even tempered man and he himself works with people in customer service.
He called, placed the order and the initial guy he dealt with was wonderful. My boyfriend told him what he wanted on the note and told him it was a surprise. The guy said great no problem and was friendly. Then my boyfriend received a call back from the shop, this time a girl, asking for more information including my phone number. He asked why they needed it reminding them it was a surprise. The girl insisted and he said ok, but AGAIN reminded her I wasn't to be called as he really wanted it to be a surprise.
So the day of delivery who gets a call? Not my thoughtful boyfriend, but me. They left a rude and rushed voicemail telling me the flowers had been delivered where I work. Literally it went something like this, "Hi this is ___ from Tiger Lily flowers, the flowers have been delivered to the bell desk. It says Im supposed to call when they're delivered to the bell desk, so yeah." And they hung up. Her tone was annoyed. WTF!!!!??? So instead of walking into work to a lovely surprise like my boyfriend wanted and made clear, I got this horrible rude voicemail.
My boyfriend and I both realize that mistakes happen and no business is perfect all the time. But good businesses own up to their mistakes and take care of their customers. But when my boyfriend called to politely tell them of our experience they handled it extremely unprofessionally. The girl on the phone was rude and was like "If you're looking for a refund we don't give those out." Ummm....?? He didn't even ask for one. Perhaps an apology, or a coupon for next time? Anything that would be considered customer service 101? He asked to speak to the manager and they said she would call him back. Guess what? She never did.
The flowers were pretty but they are everywhere. Don't spend your money with these horrible rude people!!
