WOW!!! RUDDDEEEEEE !!! – I just called up asking nicely for a price range of a sari - the guy or a woman with a low voice, proceeds to tell me rudely that he CAN'T tell me the price of a sari over the phone, and that he's BUSY. He then utters some words and hangs up! WOW.. NOT ONCE has anyone been that rude to me over the phone......
Mr shopkeeper, if you're reading this, You need to LEARN some manners!!! That's not what i call customer service.
If only i could give a ZERO star rating.
Saris fit for a queen--and those less wealthy, too. – The Scene
Just a stone's throw from Lexington Avenue's many Indian buffet restaurants is this wedge of a clothing and drapery shop. The atmosphere is slighty prettier than a wholesaler's, with trade clearly the main thrust of the business--no frilly stuff here. Which is fine: Who needs the distraction from such finery?
It takes six yards of fabric to make a sari. Question is, what fabric to choose? Depends on the budget, really. There's polyster, which is washable and cheaper (about $30). Then there's pure silk, which can run all the way up to $600 for the necessary yardage. And for a lower-maintenance look, try the tunic with loose pants, also on sale here in an array of fabrics and colors--even a few hippy-dippy tie-dyes.
Rude obnoxious salesperson – I walked into the store one evening as the show window looked interesting. The sales person ignored me. I was browsing through some shirts, and he rudely told me - don't touch them! I don't know how they expect customers to buy clothes without touching them. Then he told me that its close to their closing time, and so i asked him - would you like me to leave now. And he snapped back - yes, leave!
I was shocked! Here is a regular customer looking at products, and the guy is obviously in a hurry to shut down. Obviously they have no interest in selling.
Also, the prices are shockingly high. Nice stuff - but at such prices, and rude salespeople, don't make it a place worth going.
