Has anyone actually filed a claim and what was the result? Was money actually paid? Was it a difficult process?
Tried to call re bill saying I had not paid. Bank said it was paid (cashed) on the 4th. Received bill on the 11th, they said policy expires on the 9th and so on. I have been on hold now for 1 hour 45 minutes with the same monotone recording saying that "all of our customer reps are assisting other customers. WORST customer service ever! If you are considering a policy with them think twice!
BAD COMAPNY National Benefit Life Insurance is a scam. Agent try to sell aweful insurance policies and dont tell all the details. Wasted my money for two years. They prey on us new people in New York. I call six times and they never respond. I try to cancel my bank billing and for three month they keep taking money.
800 # is a recording stating to call back during bus hrs. – We received double billing from this outfit. Premium was paid on 9/14/11. Second premium notice was sent to us on 9/19/11. The concern is that this outfit is difficult to access and the customer service representative is abrupt and does not speak English very well. If this is an indication of the overall quality of the company, then I suspect that this outfit likely will be difficult when trying to present a claim.
"Special" Customer Service Reps – Received a solicitation in the mail from these people for a student life insurance plan; tried to call their 1-800 number to have my name removed from their mailing list when I was told that I could not have it removed over the phone because their "mailing list is not on the computer; you'll have to mail in the solicitation to have my name removed from our mailing list" Wtf? This is after going through the voice prompts where it clearly said "to have your name removed from our mailing list, please press 1." In utter disbelief I asked how this is possible if the voice prompts told me I could remove my name from the mailing lists, then after going back and forth I asked to speak to a supervisor and was promptly hung up on. Now not only do I have to waste time to get my name removed from a list it never should have been on in the first place, I have to SPEND MY OWN MONEY mailing their own solicitation back to them so I can have my name removed. Unbelievable.
Billing dispute - horrible customer service – Paid my premium on 4/5/2011, yet I received 2 notices that the premium had not been paid. On 5/23/2011 I spoke to a "customer service rep" (who was very rude and abrupt) who insisted that my premium had not been received. I sent a second premium to avoid a lapse in policy only to find out (upon asking my bank to investigate ) that my initial premium had indeed been paid and posted on 4/9/2011.
I am now trying to get my duplicate premium refunded by NBLIC. I'm sure that this will not be an easy task. This whole thing makes me wonder what kind of mickey mouse organization NBLIC really is....
Non-existent Customer Service – Double billing. I was a fool to stay with the so long. Tried contacting the company several times and was disconnected! I was also doubled billed. Keep your money. Stay away from these crooks!
What Customer Service?? – It really is too bad about the level of customer service this company provides. The citysearch comment line does not permit leaving negative or no stars and yes this company should not get a star. In fact based on the comments I have read today all with one star since that is the lowest allowed indicate this company should be reported to the New York State Insurance Department, the NAIC, AM Best, with request for marketing conduct audit and customer service audit.
Based on call today and being left on hold and the inability to leave a message: Negative 6 stars.
Customer Service Center is Not Working – I called today at a bit after 4pm because I would like an application sent to me. I ended up calling a second time since not able to leave message first time.
My older daughter is currently a policyholder and my younger daughter recently graduated high school. Reason for calling was to request application for younger daughter.
Your phone system does not take messages.
The lady who took my call forwarded me to the same system (both times that I called) even though I requested to leave a message.
I can only imagione what policyholders must go thru to file a claim.
National Benefit Life Insurance Company – I've had NBL for life insurance for my children for years but the address was changed from Wisconsin to New York. I get put on hold when I try to contact NBL by phone to ask questions. What's up? Mom from San Antonio, Texas
