Only Cleaning Company I Refer – My company, Hampton Domestics is in the business of placing full time domestic staff in the finest homes in the United States. When I have a request for a temporary cleaner or a part-time cleaning in New York or the Hamptons there is only one company that I trust to put in touch with my fine clientele. That company is New York's Little Elves. Because I know that if the Elves step in to help my clients, they will be taken care of with the utmost integrity and highest of standards. They also have the liability insurance that my clients need due to the fine furnishings they have. Most companies don't have that.
Best Cleaning Service in NYC NEW YORK'S LITTLE ELVES – I owned a cleaning company for close to a decade so when looking for a cleaning service to clean my theatre I knew exactly what I was looking for. I wanted to use a service who was dependable, who did not need to be supervised and yet knew what needed to be done based on the job description provided as well as do a good job in an efficient manner. My own personal cleaning person (who has now become a friend) calls me one of her most difficult clients! I can well believe that! I like to give 100% and expect the same when hiring a vendor. I cannot recommend New York's Little Elves enough. Truly. The staff are wonderful and the office is a dream to deal with.
A step above the rest – We've been using NY Elves for many years now and have been more than satisfied. After testing countless cleaning companies, we're happy to know we can rely on NY Elves time and time again. Their office and field staff are personable and committed to providing a high caliber service. We construct/renovate high-end residential properties and as a result have the highest expectations. NY Elves understands what it takes to make our work shine.

Totally Saved My Tush – When my girlfriend and I unexpectedly had to move to the West Coast, we had a very short time to find a buyer for our condo in HK. We had half our lives in boxes when we decided we needed to hold an open house. Problem is, we both had to work that day. I remember chuckling at the name when I went online to research cleaners. I called, and talking directly to Barbara (the owner who must be in her 60s and still helms the ship) had me sold in minutes. She was super sweet and funny and said they would come in before we left for work that day and they'd have it showroom ready by the time we got home. The crew was on time that day, listened intently to our concerns, and sure enough, when we got home with only an hour before guests started to arrive, our home looked like a model. They even rearranged the half-populated shelves to make them look intentional. And all of our boxes were tucked neatly out of sight. I truly felt like they had treated our home and special need as if it were their own. Worth every cent.
Move into a clutter-free and sparkling clean home – I recently moved and hired New York's Little Elves to clean my newly renovated house and help unpack the myriad of boxes that stored everything from wedding crystal to kids toys, my family's clothes and my coveted handbags & shoes. The receptionist who took my call was very pleasant, and informative. The instant the crew arrived, they asked where I would like the items to be stored and started working. After a few days, all boxes (about 50) were unpacked and folded away, the kitchen cabinets fully stocked, clothes and shoes in their places and the house wonderfully clean. They even hand-washed my wedding china.
I highly recommend their cleaning services.
the best cleaning company in New york – I used New Yorks Little Elves to clean my apartment after construction, the best workers, they came into the apartment and everybody did incredible job supervised for Priscilla (more than incredible). i very glad to found this company, barbara at the office was very nice too. Thank you Little Elves
Don't Bother With This Service – I was very excited to use this cleaning service as I had seen and read several TV & News magazines that gave it exceptional feedback.
Unfortunately, unless they're doing a PR piece for themselves in your apartment, one can not expect the same exceptional experience.
The maid they sent didn't speak enough English for me to communicate with her, without a lot of ?charades" type effort. She grumbled the moment she arrived about the state of apartment. She left the trash bags in front of my apartment instead of the obvious designated area on the side street.
The cleaning job, while adequate was not thorough like I had read about. Dust in corners, under the bed, shreds of used paper towel in the refrigerator, etc.
The woman who answered the phones sounded scattered and unprofessional: She said that she would call back with their availability, then didn't, asked for my credit card information twice, promised a window cleaning service would contact me, that didn't and she never followed up on how the woman did and if I was satisfied.
The kicker was that they cost, almost three times what Miracle Maids charged me to clean my apartment this past February. $306 vs. $128 for the same job!
My suggestion: Save yourself the frustration & money and hire another cleaning service.
what company did those people call? – I've used little elves for their cleaning services before, and they came very highly recommended by a coworker. let me be clear: i work for an interior design company, and we contracted their services for 3 days to clean before the owners moved back in after extensive renovations. they (barbara is my contact there) were extremely helpful, even going above and beyond to make sure that the client's needs were met and their schedule was open in case we needed them for additional cleaning hours. in addition, they called to confirm everything the day before, they sent over revised invoices with infinite patience after the client changed their mind multiple times, and the cleaning crew was extremely professional. i was on site myself and saw the job that they did, and it was nothing short of fantastic.
so, i dont know who those other reviewers spoke to, or what happeend, but in my experience they are absolutely A+ and easy to work with. if only all our subcontractors were so great.
sick, bad business and lame – I have never had a more bizarre experience in my life. Being a former house cleaner myself i can tell you its not an easy job so when i hire someone i make it as nice and easy for them as possible, offering water, tea, coffee, a snack, music, cleaning products, etc. When I called LIttle Elves I was not making a lot of money, but needed my home professionaly cleaned as I am about to sublet it. I specified I needed a cleaner who would do an excllent, efficient job. Of course they said "all of our cleaners are excellent". So when the cleaner showed up, I stayed for an hour, offered her water, tea, cookies, etc, showed her my list of things to do. She called the agency and they translated into English what I asked for on my list. She said it seemed she could do all of it, no problem. I ran out for 10 minutes to get cash to pay her. On my way back, Little Elves called and told me (AND I QUOTE) "your place is too filthy for her to clean it".[First of all this place is FAR FAR from filthy-and how unprofeesional is that?] I said "I've been a house cleaner myself and this place is FAR from Flithy". ( It needed some cleaning but hello--isnt that YOUR JOB?). Her response? "THEN CLEAN IT YOURSELF CUZ WE AREN"T DOING IT". What in GODS NAME kind of business are these people running?
I came home to find an over heated woman with head in her hands. I gave her asprin and more cold water. She apologized and left my place in ruins.
DO NOT CALL THESE PEOPLE> GOD KNOWS WHY THEY ARE IN BUSINESS?!!!!!I"m reporting this as many places as i can.
DON'T CALL! – I called to receive a quote for a client of mine and was rudely hung up on. I would not recommend calling this company. Obviously they don't want business. I kindly asked what her name was for my records and she hung up on me. I called back and asked why I was hung up on and they put me on hold and then hung up again. Very RUDE.
