I was a residence there in 2008-2009 and everything was great. Karen Garnett treated me with respect. I felt safe here. Rules are everywhere. I'm homeless. Wish I could get back into Daly House.
its a homeless shelter – one of the better homeless shelters in Manhattan, its for people 45 and older. its part of the new york, dhs system, so expect some of dhs' bizarre restrictions.
Avoid at all cost. – Please do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all cost. From the outside in, this place looks very nice and pleasant to the eyes. However, as its residents will readily admit, the place is run by mentally unstable people who torture its clients with remarkably stupid rules. The ringleader is a dike from brooklyn named Karen Garnett, an obvious manhater. Please save yourself the time.
