Belle Fleur came through in the clutch – I came to Belle Fleur just before Valentine's Day - an event where I hear it's traditional to buy flowers.
As guy, it's not every day I receive floral arrangements, and while I like to think I have decent taste I was a bit out of my depth on this one. I really appreciate the time Belle Fleur took to walk me through my options, even though I was working on very short notice. The final product was beautiful, heads and shoulders above the canned arrangements other places stock before Vday. I'll be back for the next special occasion.
Amazing!! – My husband and I used Belle Fleur NY for our recent wedding and we could not have been more pleased with their work. They diligantly worked with me on a daily basis to make sure that I was 100% happy with every detail of our wedding. They were willing to meet with me as many times as I wanted to ensure that I was totally comfortable with everything that we would recieve on our day. Meredith's warm and nurturing attitude made the whole experience such an exciting pleasure. She encouraged us to make smart choices and cut where wasn't necessary. I had a very specific color theme and mood that I wanted for our wedding day and Meredith and her team executed it perfectly.
I will forever use them for all of my floral needs.
Arrogant, unhelpful, who needs this?? – Think twice before you give anyone a gift certificate to this place. I was given a very generous--$400--gift certificate from Belle Fleur for Christmas. It came with card from the company enjoining me to "enjoy beautiful flowers all year long." (Note the "all year long" phrase.) I was saving it for special occasions. And then I realized with horror , a year later, on 1/1/2011, that my certificate had just expired. (Why should a gift certificate expire? They have the money. But never mind.) I called right away, and after some hemming and hawing, they said i could have an extension of one month. When I called to place my first order, for a $150 arrangement, they said that I had to use the certificate ALL AT ONCE. How often does somebody want to order $400 worth of flowers at one go? I pointed out that this didin't quite jibe with the certificate's message to "enjoy flowers all year long." To which they snippily replied that that was their policy. Their flowers ARE pretty, but they're not THAT pretty.
FABULOUS FLORIST!!!!! – My husband planned my 40th birthday party and I was blown away. The floral design was crisp, clean and stunning. The colors and overall attention to detail added to the mood of our evening. Belle Fleur knocked it out of the park. Thank you BF. I plan to come back for my next event.
Superb Floral Designer – We hired Belle Fleur for my parents anniversary dinner at Nobu last month and they went above and beyond our expectations.
They were so pleasant to deal with, wonderfully creative and worked well within our budget. We've heard such nice things about this shop and deservedly so, we were extremely satisfied.
STUNNING DESIGN COMPANY – I've been calling on Belle Fleur for years for all of our corporate and social engagements...flawless work and the kindest staff around town. For every event they come up with something more beautiful than the last.
Five Stars for Belle Fleur from me!!!!
Over-hyped, over-priced for terrible service – I used BF for my wedding, and I was UTTERLY disappointed. The flower arrangements were not innovative, not extraordinary and definitely not what I had hoped for with the enormous amount of money I spent on them. I would NEVER recommend BF to anyone planning a wedding...seriously, you don't want to regret this as much as I do now. There are way better florists in the city who have a much better attitude towards clients. I literally had to bring in pictures of what I wanted and told them to copy it because they did not come up with anything interesting. What's worse is that I supplied some items that I wanted them to incorporate into the decor, and when they returned them to me, they were all but destroyed. They didn't even bother to repack them with care. I beg all brides to stay away from this florist. Going with BF was one of the worst decisions I've ever made!
Five Star Florist – Sent my sweetheart a bouquet of flowers today and apparently her office was swooning over them. I live on the West Coast and took a chance based on their website - didn't even realize I was calling Oprah's Favorite until my girlfriend told me so. Looks like I know where to call from here on out. I'm no Oprah, but as long as I make my girl smile, well that's all that counts.
Loving Belle Fleur Bouquets – My husband & I contracted Belle Fleur to design our wedding this Summer and we were overwhelmed by their amazing work. Every last detail was spot on, they surpassed our expectations and totally lived up to their stellar reputation. They stayed within our budget, offered insight to creative ideas and delivered much more than what was outlined on our wedding proposal. We give them the highest accolades on creating a memory for us that will last a life time.
Terrible service; horrible attitude – I wanted to post this so that others searching for a florist will have help making an informed decision. I work in the design and event field so therefore have a lot of experience with florists. Sadly, I found Belle Fleur to fall well short of what you would expect for a florist of their purported 'caliber.' When I initially called for my own wedding, I did not mention that I was in this field to see how I would be treated. Not only was I treated rudely and abruptly after mentioning my budget (which, to note, is far from low or even mid-range) but my impression after that call was that, with Belle Fleur, you are over-paying for a reputation, rather than creative floral design or good service (which, let's be honest, is very important when you are planning a special event). A call or two to other florists will likely save you significant money - you will also feel like your business is actually wanted and you won't receive the attitude of a vendor who feels entitled. Unfortunately, I found Belle Fleur highly condescending, disinterested and overall abrasive in attitude with their clients.
