Great Taekwondo Program – I just started taking classes at this dojang, and I'm really impressed with all the Masters and Instructors. They really care, and they are very encouraging. The Masters, Instructors and the black belts all help the beginners just as much as they work with the more experienced students. English is definately not the Masters first language, but they all have a tremendous amount of enthusiasm and experience and they are extremely welcoming. I look forward to going to classes and I believe with hard work I will be able to earn a black belt too.

This dojang is the real thing! – I've studied several forms of martial arts for over 15 years; Ju Jitsu, Kempo, Judo and Karate, but I never had the opportunity to study Taekwondo. When I found this dojang, the Masters and Instructors were very welcoming and accommodating. I was a little anxious because the first thing they wanted me to do was to fill out a contact information form while all I wanted to do was to observe a class. (I?ve learned from previous experience that before beginning classes at any dojang, it is important to make sure that I feel confident that the level of instruction is going to be professional and authentic.) Of course I had a lot of questions, but I was concerned that because the Masters all looked young and spoke with thick Korean accents, I might not get enough information to determine if this dojang would be worth my efforts or offer the expertise I was seeking.

After taking a free introductory class, I realized that my initial concerns were completely erroneous. Once my ear adjusted to their accents, I realized the Masters were not only proficient, but extremely dedicated. The Instructor I worked with was able to identify some of the bad habits I developed from my earlier training, and he was able to help me correct my technique. As a result, I decided to begin practicing Taekwondo here, and I am very glad I did. I?ve since learned that the Masters graduated from Korean colleges with majors in Taekwondo and served in the Korean Army before they began teaching; they just look young. They follow a well planned program created by the Grand Master and founded in the official Kukkiwon Taekwondo style. I really appreciate the instruction I receive at this dojang, and if you are looking for an authentic Taekwondo dojang, I highly recommend this place.

Additionally, the school has a diverse group of friendly students and although the Masters are very dedicated and serious, at heart they are good-humored and enjoyable.

I had a friend that was training at PTKD for a few months, and she invited me to a – The instructors were very friendly and the Dojang had a warm, welcoming atmosphere. That unfortunately was the highlight of the school. The class I took consisted of kata demos and mindlessly striking pads. There were a couple of problems. First, the instructors have a rather limited grasp of English. This would be fine, but it translates into absolutely no technical information. None of the strikes were presented in context of why or how one could use them. Second, all the exercises were done to mind-numbingly loud techno. It was goofy. They would run a demo, then they would crank the music, and you were expected to GO! Third, there was some adolescent kid literally running around with a black belt needing a lot of attention. In the context of ... ahem... serious training, I don't really feel like babysitting. But it was also distracting and unsafe. Perhaps it's unfair that I am writing a review with one visit, but I surely couldn't stomach a second... Oh, and a little bit off the subject... My friend who was training there actually was asked out by TWO of the instructors at different points. One actually got her number off her file. She quit shortly after that. Really, that's rather unprofessional. They should really name the school "Unprofessional Taekwondo", because, you know... they're named "Professional TKD", but act unprofessional... You know what I mean? "Unprofessional" would be much more fitting don't you think? Hello? Hello? Is this thing on?...

Best Taekwondo school in the city – I love this dojang! The instructors are fantastic, and they really care about the students. Much better than my previous martial arts school.

World Champion Masters and Instructors – I just started practicing Taekwondo, and I checked out several other schools before I signed up at Professional Taekwondo. I was extremely impressed with the accomplishments of the Masters, but what I really like about this school is how welcoming the Masters and Instructors are, and how they focus their instuction on all the students regardless of their belt level and natural ability. It is great for me, because even though I know I will never be an olympic athlete I get to train with Masters that could be. I wouldn't be surprised if some of the younger students at this school really go far. I'm just happy that I have the opportunity to train there. This school is really a great gift!

Great for the whole family! – My son and I attend this Tae Kwon Do school, and we love it. My son is much better than me, but it provides a great opportunity for us to enjoy time together and learn TKD from wonderful, friendly and extremely accomplished instructors.

Fantastic authentic WTF Tae Kwon Do – I've checked out many martial arts schools in the area and I found that Professional Tae Kwon Do has some of the most qualified and accomplished instructors around. The atmosphere is welcoming to all types of students and the classes are geared to a strict WTF Tae Kwon Do standard. It isn't for individuals looking for a mixed martial arts curriculum, but more for students seeking an authentic marital arts experience and an opportunity to train with some of the most accomplished athletes in this Olympic sport style Tae Kwon Do. If you are serious about learning a traditional art form from accomplished Korean Masters, this is an excellent school!

There's nothing professional about Profe – If quality of instruction is not important to you and you never want to get any better, this is the school for you.
