“find the off nights to be the most fun , you are bound to have an interesting encounter with one of the locals, with single gals galore !”
“The food is boring, the drinks are deceptively expensive, and the crowd is wall-to-wall upstarts talking up their worldly exploits.”
“The food is good.”
“The Stoned Crow is a great place, full of history, a great jukebox, cool memorabilia and the owner Betty, is cordial, gracious and an all round sweetheart.”
“The Crow is an excellent place to play pool, as long as you can manage to avoid the rudest, most unpleasant bartender in NYC: Tom.”
“There is something for everyone - great rock/funk/soul jukebox, pool table, GoldenTee and of course cheap booze.”

Great Sign, But.... ...what a TERRIBLE bar. After going inside, I felt as if I'd have been better off standing outside looking at the sign for a few hours. If your idea of a good time is to hang out with a bunch of egotistical, misogynistic trust fund college brats, this is the place. Since this place is actually a basement pub, one would think that it would be "down to earth". That was a case of mistaken identity on my part. The food is boring, the drinks are deceptively expensive, and the crowd is wall-to-wall upstarts talking up their worldly exploits. Give me a real proletariat bar anyday over this pompous atmosphere. Oh, and give me a few of those movie posters to take home and put to some good use. Even the posters can't make up for how cheesy this bar is.
Village favorite. Check out the "Crow" if you are looking for a low-key but happening local bar. I find the off nights to be the most fun , you are bound to have an interesting encounter with one of the locals, with single gals galore !!! The happy hour starts at 4pm with $3 beers, and Geoff or Karl always take great care of us. Don't forget the sweet pool table and great juke-box. See you there......
Great dive bar without the crowd. Great dive bar without the crowd of one that has become too popular. Dark and unassuming this basement bar is deceptivly large with it's large wrap bar and cavernous back room. There is something for everyone - great rock/funk/soul jukebox, pool table, GoldenTee and of course cheap booze. A bit off the beaten track, but a great option for that "Where the hell should we go now" dilema at 1am.
I thought this place was cool until.... .. the bartender told my friends and I to move away from the bar because "he needed the space " and was a total jerk. There was no reason for him to ask us to move since we were a group of six paying customers and the bar was not crowded at all. In fact, there were many empty stools by the bar. Needless to say, if he doesn't want my friends and I there, then we won't be going back.
Betty is the best!. Thanks Betty for the free picture! And thanks for creating such a great bar - friendly staff, cold beer, nice music! I know I'll always have fun at the Stoned Crow whether we're just getting started or winding down our night!
