Great Shop, Just Know What To Expect! – I see a lot of negative reviews for this lovely skateshop. This is definitely because people don't know what to expect when they come here. I can tell you that the employees have always been nothing but nice to me.
First off, Supreme isn't owned by Stussy. The fact that they don't even carry Stussy products should be a dead give away. Supreme is actually Stussy's strongest competitor.
Next, Supreme started as a skateshop but slowly evolved into a world famous streetwear company (check ebay and see how much their collaborative Nike Dunk Sbs sell for on ebay, just check), The store isn't so much about the boards anymore, it's more about the clothes and sneakers. They have a small selection of items, but that's just because they don't sell filler brands like zoo york or element. They stick to the better, more reputable companies like girls, chocolate, etc. You won't find DC shoes or etnies here, but you fill find the latest Vans, Nikes and Adidas which are 100x more fashionable and skate better too (yes, I skate),
It's true that the staff can be mean, but they're really just mean to people who clearly don't intend to buy anything or silly teenagers that think the store is a place to hang out. Also, they will not be nice to you if you come in there dressed like a fruit-loop with a fully matching outfit, and I don't blame them.
So overall, supreme has a well-selected stock of items, including their own line which is pricey but also very innovative and unique. I personally like the atmosphere there, it's genuine. Some people would argue the opposite. But I personally hate skateshops which make me feel like I'm in the suburbs. Supreme is a definitive urban skateshop.
I come there for decks, clothing and I used to come there to buy nike dunks until nike stopped making decent designs. Great place.
The most fashionable clothing and board store for hard-core skaters and wannabes. – In Short
White walls, a chrome interior and neat displays let you know that Supreme is serious about its thing: skating. Clientele includes serious skaters and cute wannabes. Supreme offers skateboards and wheels by Girl Chocolate, Zoo York, Infamous and City Stars, and the store will put one together for you for $144. Check out Supreme's cleverly designed in-house brand of T-shirts, clothing and accessories, along with labels like DC, Lakai and Good Enuf. Also find skating sneaks by Gravis and Axion.
Good for posers, rich asians and metrosexuals!!!! – This place is garbage we were treated like homeless people. The staff is so uppity and stand offish. Dude you are not a white collar wall street type so lose the attitude. The selection is very lacking. Boards and Blades has a better selection and thats not saying much. Wow macys has a better zoo york section. Supreme a$$holes is what they should call this place. Get over yourselves please.
Something very corporate – How corporate do you have to be to have a giant LCD screen in your window? Maybe they could have skipped the big flashy TV and instead lowered their insanely high prices. I normally go to Autumn or sometimes KCDC but was in the area and decided to check this place out. The clerk was really pretentious which is crazy for someone who's paycheck comes from Stussy. Go figure. I won't be back and wouldn't recomend it to you either.
Supreme Godzilla – If you're a Giant Robot fan or have got tons o' yen to spend, then this is the place. Supreme is owned by the Stussy owner so don't be surprised to see skate a la mode. Real skaters..ummm...Skateboarders period, go to Autumn or KCDC.
Don't believe the hype...
Supreme attitude=cool. – This store aside from FTC San Francisco, CA is the ultimate destination for city based clothing, boards, and accessories. But be prepared because the service and selection is sometimes lacking.
Check it out.
not so hot. – sorry, the goods and ambience don't outweigh the attitude. it's borderline stuff to begin with. when you add in the cooler than thou attitiude, it doesn't add up. there are plenty of places where being less cool than the staff is just fine, this place just isn't one of them.
