Who's the fly bartender who works Sat nights? – Came here twice...on a Monday night during fleet week (if it wasn't fleet week it would have been empty!) and on a Saturday night (it was packed!). The drinks are super cheap. Especially the pitchers. And they have beer pong!!!! (It's free, you just pay for the pitcher). It's like a frat party in the city. Crowd is mixed. I wish I could say there were less chicks but wit a fly bartender like the one who works Sat nights, I can't complain.
The craziest bar i've ever been 2 – this is the funnest bar ever!!!! it is a great place 2 be with your friends and jus have a wild and great time. the only flaw is that its very croweded and there is nowhere 2 sit! And ladies...u should definitly come on wednesday 4 the $2.00 You Call It! for ladies only!!! this is a fun place :D
huge bar, fun atmosphere, crowded on game days – cool bar, but it has a very young college age crowd; they seem to have some really good bar food - including hot wings
An aptly named collegiate bar where cheap beer flows freely and fun is guaranteed. – The beloved watering hole of nearby NYU students, this Greenwich Village staple has the loud and friendly feel of a riotous campus party. Offering up 14 beers on tap, darts, foosball and a pool table, this two-story establishment is perpetually packed. A sprawling main room features a 30-foot bar, with another bar located in the upstairs balcony, providing drinkers with a birds-eye view of the scene below. DJs take requests Monday through Saturday nights, and the rest of the time a jukebox pumps out a constant soundtrack of assorted rock, soul, '80s and pop tunes. A menu of bar munchies includes Philly cheesesteaks, nachos and sliders, served 'til 4am seven days a week. And as at any college-friendly bar, the game is always on thanks to 15 hi-def, 42-inch Plasma screens and one gigantic projector.
So fun! – Off the Wagon has become our favorite place!! Wednesdays are ladies nights...shots, mixed drinks, and draft beers are all $2 each. Great place!
Guys at door horrible – agreed that the guys at the door are on a huge power trip and will use any excuse to kick ppl out and get an ego rise. seriously - get a real job. there are so many bars in new york and NO reason to go here, pay for drinks, and be treated the way they treat you.
STOP!!!!! DO NOT GO TO OFF THE WAGON!!!!! – DO NOT GO TO OFF THE WAGON!!!!
This place is a complete washout. Very tasteless.
God forbid the bouncers see you and decide they don't like you!
F***ing bouncers should go get a real job.
The bouncers at OFF THE WAGON thought my boyfriend, who was standing by the restrooms waiting for me to come out, was sleeping (he was standing (waiting) with his eyes closed) SO THEY KICKED HIM OUT!!!!
After I confronted the big UGLY bouncer about kicking my bf out ,I went to stand near my BF at the corner, while he was on the phone with 911, b/c one of the bouncers decided to be tough and HURT him WITH A CLOSED FIST as they threw him out.
In a split second, the police was there! BUT NOT IN OUR DEFENSE! BUT IN THE BOUNCERS DEFENSE!!!!!!!
I still can't believe this happened!!!!!!!
WE WERE ARRESTED!!!!!!!!!!!!
We have sooooo many accusation against us, such as harassment and assault....ALL BS!!!!
So people STOP GOING TO OFF THE WAGON!!!!
GOD FORBID you have your eyes closed or even BLINK!!!!
BECAUSE OF OFF THE WAGON WE GOT ARRESTED AND ARE NOW AWAITING TRIAL!!!
By the way, we have filed complaints against the bar and the bouncers!
Welcome Back to College – A West Village, 20-something beer-guzzler's staple, OTW is basically a frat-party with flat-screens, servers and a cash bar. Thursday HH is a raucous, good time. Staff is generally friendly and great with regulars. Rodney is a stellar bartender. You can find me at the downstairs pong table many Thursday nights.
Security thinks it can do whatever it wants – I'm not going to elaborate, but needless to say, this establishment would be fine if its security had some respect for its patrons.
Very crowded, very noisy, very looong lines for the bathroom and yet always a good time...however if you show up past midnight you might have to wait a while to get in. I recomend the upstairs bar. I had my 24th birthday up there and we all had an amazing time. I didn't rent it out, just got lucky. Keep in mind that the upstairs is often used for private parties. All around good time for us looking to revisit our college years.
