Ants on a log? The Elvis? Iconic PB recipes come alive here, bringing you back to your childhood because, well ... there are so many children here every time I come. But you can grab your sandwich and root beer ice cream float and hightail it to a corner or nearby Washington Square Park, where you'll remember why peanut butter was once the only thing you needed for lunch.

The little sandwich place that launched the brand. It's proof no one is ever too old for some PB&J love washed down with an Elvis shake.

They are too sweet – Theres this woman that works here and she is wonderful. Has my drink ready almost as soon as I walk in the door. They have great drinks and will always come here for my daily.

Nostalgic Peanut Butter Maker Like Breakfast at Grandma's – A small nostalgic breakfast nook amidst NYU/Village madness, Peanut Butter & Co is adorned with wooden tables and peanut butter. Menu is mixed with throwback PB sandwiches--those that you hoped to find in your lunch box--and lunch staples like turkey or ham. The real jam is in its peanut butter, with homemade jars in white or dark chocolate, spicy, and maple syrup available to go for just $5 or $6.

The friendly staff, paraphernalia-like post cards, stuffed monkeys, and of course, peanut butter jars make PB & Co like the sweet-themed souvenir shops of Times Square, only a thousand times smaller with a down home feel.

Child's Play Good Enough For Adults – Peanut butter in many varities, you say? I love it. Sandwiches here are served old school style, with carrot sticks and a bag of chips. You can even opt to have the crusts cut off your bread!

Located in Greenwich Village, this little store is always packed, and for good reason. If you are a peanut butter "nut" (ha ha) you may be adventurous and try the PB BLT (highly recommeded). Staples like the Fluffernutter are on the menu, of course, along with grilled cheese and tuna sandwiches for our friends with nut-allergies. Although, I'm not sure you would even venture into this store if you had a nut allergy...

For what you are getting, the price is slightly outrageous. Though, it is a real treat and the sandwiches are huge. Needless to say it is pretty kid-friendly so be prepared for many strollers, toddlers, etc. packed into a small space.

Ridiculous Prices and Poor Service – Honestly, the headline says it all. They charge you the price of two containers of grocery store bought jelly and a loaf of bread for a kid to throw it carelessly together for you. Heaven forbid you'd rather have more carrots instead of chips, or two measly apple slices instead of carrots or chips. Then they'll throw a hissy fit and insist on charging an extra dollar. They react like you're trying to swap a few carrot sticks and a TINY bag of chips for a pound of caviar. As a local resident, I'm honestly shocked this place stays in business. Peanut Butter and Co is just busy, busy, busy perpetuating the crappy reputation of restaurants in this area which have very little regard for local customers - or any customers for that matter.

There's nothing 'comforting' about a PB & J sammich here. Thoughts of how little you get for your money and visions of snarky customer service will haunt you the entire time you're munching on it. Spare yourself!

Peanut Butter reigns supremely creamy – I had to go here after watching a segment on the food network about places in NY. I am from LA and was excited and delighted to come here and see that it was everything I expected- quaint, nostalgic and a primo destination for peanut butter lovers such as myself. I wish I could have tried everything on the menu (maybe next time I am on the east coast) but I absolutely had to get the fluffernutter- something I had only seen and heard about on TV. It was delicious of course- but really made me feel like a little kid again which I believe is the emotion this places wishes to evoke (and sucessfully does). Next time I go, I am definitely trying the Elvis sandwich- I thinks it has honey, bananas, and bacon (yum yum)!

best peanut butter – great lunch spot! I had the Elvis(peanut butter, honey, bananas on toasted bread) which was really good and fresh. I also had a banana vanilla milkshake which was good but a little over blended. Everyone I was with also enjoyed their food. The staff was very friendly and the place was clean. I highly recommend this restaurant for lunch or a snack but, only if you enjoy peanut butter.

Overpriced with unpleasant staff – Complete waste of money. I managed to spend ten bucks on half a sandwich (I threw the rest away) and a cold cup of coffee. I don't know how someone could botch making a peanut butter sandwich and handing it to me, but somehow the staff here pulled it off. Bottom line, I could make better sandwich for seventy-five cents and bring it to work with me.

If you really, really like peanut butter and you don't care if a restaurant charges you nearly twenty times what they spent preparing your food, this place might suit you. Unless you don't like surly workers who openly paw your food before they hand it to you.

cute, comforting sandwiches – Now, at $5-8 per sandwich, this isn't the kind of place I'd frequent on a regular basis, but for a once-in-a-while nostalgic treat, Peanut Butter & Co's sweet, filling sandwiches h it the spot. Each sandwich comes with carrot sticks and potato chips and milk is about $1.60. There are also lots of other peanut-butter treats to choose from, including cookies, smoothies, and more.

Really, very bad – Waited almost 10 minutes for a PB&J sandwich, which I paid $5 for. When it finally arrived it had ever such a skinny spread of PB and, worst of all... THE BREAD WAS STALE. Yuck. I'd rather make my own. If you specialize in Peanut Butter, why not showcase it and give a good lathering on all of your sandwiches? Hopeless. Service was equally hopeless.

No! – Great idea, but no! It just ends up becoming a hedonism that's not worth it! Not creative about their sandwiches or desserts, AT ALL! Just tasted like something I could have thrown together in 5 seconds, and possibly worse. NO.
