Best facial I've ever had – I've been shopping around for a spa that gives a good facial and this is by far the best place I've been. I booked for a type of facial and when my esthetician Dawn examined my skin, she recommended a different facial which would suit my skin better - and it was wonderful!

The facial she recommended was actually cheaper than the one I had originally booked. The products she used smelled and felt amazing and she answered all my questions about skincare and skin treatments.

I left feeling like a totally new person. My skin felt fresh and rejuvenated - even my boyfriend mentioned how my skin was glowing. I am definitely coming back.

poor customer service – I would never recommend Soho Sanctuary's massage services. Based on online reviews, I gave a client a gift certificate for a massage at Soho Sanctuary. My client came in for her appointment and was rudely dismissed by a massage therapist. My client had allergies- she was told "if you're sick, I absolutely can't massage you", even though she had mentioned her allergies when she confirmed her appointment. (My client had mild congestion- she wasn't sneezing all over anyone!)

The manager didn't offer any compensation for my client's time or the rude manner in which she was basically sent away from her appointment. (I understand that there might be some inconsistencies in the quality of massage therapists- but the fact that the manager was barely apologetic for this situation was the most unacceptable element for me.)

I was embarrassed to hear this terrible story when I had given the massage as a gift! My client found Soho Sanctuary to be an unfriendly and stressful experience.

This is MY Sanctuary!! – Every time I go to Soho Sanctuary, I leave it loving it more and more. I decided to get a mani/pedi in their Loft and LOVED it. A place like no other...my polish stayed on longer than ever and the products they used smelled so good. The environment was so relaxing! I've gotten everything from a massage to facial to a yoga session and just had the best time there!! It's totally my Sanctuary!!

The Best Place ON Earth! – I love this place! I've gone for at least all of their services once and each time it has been a dream. The therapists are so attentive and knowledgeable about their profession. The receptionists are trendy and always more than friendly, and if you come on the right day you'll get to see a former ANTM top three finalist! :) GO You won't regret it.

Lousy Massage, Lousy Client Relations – I recently organized treatments for a group of friends. Everyone had a great time, except for me. I told my therapist I'd like to focus on my back and neck. Over the hour, she basically spent 10-15 min either laying her hands on an area (some no where near my neck) and holding them there for increasing amounts of time, culminating with holding my head for 3-5 minutes. As it was at the end of the massage I decided to ask her about her technique when she came back after I got dressed. Well, she never came back. In fact, she basically went home without checking back in on me.

I called the spa director there to complain. Afterall, I had brought in close to $800 in fees for ONE hour on a Sunday afternoon, a fact I brought to her attention. She basically said what I was describing was some sort of cranial blah-blah treatment. I told her that's not what I signed up for and instead of being apologetic, she insisted it was part of their "signature" massage -- something no one else in my party had experienced -- and only offered to have the therapist call me back the following day (two days after the fact) to explain what she had been trying to do.

None of this makes sense to me as a client, so I will not be returning. It's a total crapshoot at the Soho Sanctuary, so if you'd like your $130+/hr to go further, I recommend going any where else.

Best massage I have ever had! – I have been to lots of spas and had lots of massages (even at the infamous celeb hangout Sanctuary Spa at Camelback Mountain in Arizona) but never have I had a massage as good at the one I had at Soho Santuary!! The ladies-only atmosphere was very relaxing. The steam room was great and the massage therapist was amazing! I highly recommend this place! I am going back very soon!

Fabulouis organic facials – Soho Sanctuary is an all woman's spa that focus's on the beauty of women from inside out! They use all natural and organic products and make you feel special from the moment you check into the spa to the moment you leave...The staff is extremely knowledgable and gentle, and take the time to listen and treat your skin..the only place for facails for me.

Sorry, fellas: This urban mind-and-body retreat is just for the ladies. – The Scene
Soho Sanctuary features a light-filled yoga studio, a circular meditation-massage room, a library of holistic books and a hand-tiled, chi-balanced eucalyptus steam bath, in addition to six comfy, dimly lit treatment rooms. Two wet rooms boast private showers, and the cell phone-free waiting area is stocked with fruit, nuts and a miniature tea bar. The spacious locker room has showers and beauty products.

The Services
Facials using the holistic Dr. Hauschka line range from a 60-minute combo to the two-hour VIP facial, which includes a sage foot bath, warm compresses and massage. This is the only place outside of L.A. to offer the Arcana Contour Facial Lift, a massage-intensive skin-firming service that's been a celeb secret for more than 15 years. All body treatments come with a half-hour massage and a steam. The excellent full-body massages include Thai, prenatal, hot stone and sports-medical styles. Therapists are knowledgeable and friendly.

spalady – Soho Sanctuary is the best spa I have ever been to and I have been to a lot! It is so relaxing and beautiful and the staff is outstanding! My treatments were pure perfection and worth every dollar! You can tell the people at Soho Sanctuary really care about you! True professionals! I will be a regular from now on. Other NYC spas just don't measure up!

for a good brow wax but... – Susanna does incredible brow waxes. And she only charges $20. SHe is sweet and friendly and really really good. BUT i fully admit that the people at the front desk are SUPER SUPER SUPER RUDE. They cancelled my appointment with telling me but then again they did squeeze me in any way without too much trouble. but they really need to do something about the people at the front desk, they are rude, have NO customer service skills, brain dead, and just aloof. BUT my brow wax is wonderful.
