77 Worth St Location – I boarded my two cats here for 5 days and gave very specific instructions to leave their cat carrier inside the cage. I set up their cage how I wanted and left. When I went to pick them up at 10am on a Tuesday, the room was pitch black (no windows and they still hadn't turned on the lights!), the carrier had been removed and the cage was a smelly disgusting mess. I left specific instructions to always have dried food that I provided in the cage ("condo") but when I arrived, not only was the small amount of litter (not even enough litter to cover their feces) all over the cage and piss and litter outside of the box, but the water and food dishes were empty!!!! They were huddled in a corner together, and seemed lethargic. I felt so guilty for trusting my cats with these negligent people. My poor kitties had diarrhea and no water or food! They had never had diarrhea before this... And to spend 14 hours in pitch black?? You'd think they could buy a nightlight at least, or put them in a room with a window. They also mentioned that sometimes cats escape through the ventilation and they can't find them for days until they are so hungry they have to come out.
You will never feel guilty about leaving your dog here... – This place gets an unfair shake in the previous reviews. I love this place for many reasons. Wagging Tail has relocated to 77 Worth. The new facility is much bigger and has high tech enhancements as well as additional comforts for the dogs. I spend way more than I care to admit on dog care, I have had many walkers and tried several day care options. The people who work here are incredibly warm and caring. They all know who you are and what your dog's name is by the time you pick him/her up at the end of the first day. By the end of the week they have intimate knowledge of your dog's likes, dislikes and idiosyncrasies. who doesn't love hearing from the guys who your dog's two best friends are at day care. The ratio of staff to dogs is impressive, plus they have a vet on staff. You can't beat the webcam that allows you to see what your baby is up to during the day.
Most places have people working there that know nothing about dogs or you hear some horror story about a dog that was lost or dropped off at the wrong home. The Wagging Tail gets it right with the dogs as well as the owners. They make it so easy to leave your dog for the day - guilt free!
My dog loves this place! – I live about 12 blocks away, and when I ask my shih-tzu, "Do you want to go to day care?" he drags me there! He loves it, plays like crazy and comes home tired and happy. You can watch your dog play on the doggy cam I would highly recommend it for any dog lover, as the owners and workers there are all dog lovers themselves.
Do Not Use this place – Over the holidays, I decided to use Wagging Tail to watch my 3yr old Lab/greyhound Mix as we left for the west coast. After a 5 day stay, I come to pick up my dog and I come to see that he had 2 huge gashes in his head with blood running down his head. I asked what happened..seems it was the firt time they saw it...they said my dog used his head to try and escape out of the cage they stick the dogs in at night (but how would they really know). No "im sorry"...nothing. Beware...your dog is one of hundreds...gets no personal care and they charge an ar m and a leg...He smelled, was weary and had the runs for days. I will never, ever bring my dog back.
