A memorial to heroes of the past and a tutorial for the living. – In Short
The Fire Museum has three floors (including a loft which can be rented for special occasions). The first floor houses several displays that show the evolution of firefighting from the bucket brigades of colonial New York to the familiar red trucks of today. Upstairs are antique fire toys, prints and volunteer fire wagons. A World Trade Center exhibit is the latest permanent installation.
