Butcher & the Burger

Love the pork burger with steakhouse – Burgers for breakfast? Sure - just top a patty with an egg and you're good to go. You can also get an egg, sausage, or bacon sandwich. Plus, get sausages and other meats to go.

Tons of possible burger combos (you select it all- down to the spice blend) and I've yet to try a dud. Try the bison and don't skip the fries.

Although my burger came out wrong THREE times, when it came out right, it was perfect. Dripping with greasy love and cooked to a remarkable medium rare, the grass fed prime burger on a pretzel bun w grilled onions and melted cheddar sent me to hog heaven. And their Kennebec fries were just ketchup on the wonderfully buttered bun.

Indulge or go healthier at this wholesome burger spot – Great for an indulgent option - add bacon, avocado, egg, Wisconsin cheddar and the works with handout fries- or go for the leaner grassfed beef, elk, veggie (brown rice-based), or sustainable salmon burger with wheat buns or bunless as a lettuce wrap. Optional seasoning add a kick (ghost pepper) or subtle added garlic-pepper flavor (Chicago steakhouse). BYOB beer for a casual LIncoln Park night out or healthilfy it with coconut water. Don't forget dessert - creamy custard in rotating flavors. Wooden tables and floors throughout, plus butcher paraphernalia and a display case for takeout meats create a warm, artisan feel. Monthly hog butchery classes available.
