Best place to drink after a long day of tourism! – This place is WONDERFUL, WONDERFUL!!!! $5 drafts all the time, so no need to worry about hitting this place at "happy hour." Bartender, "Lisa" is especially friendly and made our visit even greater! She took the extra time to converse about local dining (not just the bar) and made dinner recommendations for us. We chose this place because it was less than a block from our hotel, but found that we couldn't have had better service if we had gone 20 blocks.
Great for lunch or after work – I have been here a few times for both lunch and after work and I recommend it. I've tried a few things on the menu and all have been great. The service is great and the prices are reasonable. The best part is the lounge area in the back, it is a great place to sit with your friends and have a few drinks. There is music but it is not blaring to the point where you cannot carry on a conversation.
Best Midtown Bar & Lounge in New York! – I had the best time after work during happy hour with a group of friends at this awesome midtown lounge & Bar. We ordered martinis, wine, beer, mixed drinks and some bar food and it was all great.
Editorial Review – Midtown lounge serves up salads, sandwiches and bar bites; private parties are available for up to 100 people.
Good atmosphere, but avoid certain drinks .... – The atmosphere was good ... awesome art work, good music, lots of energy. Certain drinks left something to be desired ... DO NOT order a Bloody Mary (it tastes like poo ... with horseradish for spice), simple mixed drinks can arrive somewhat strong (to the point that it's face scrunchingly painful to get down), and basic martini's surprisingly do NOT come with olives (apparently you must request separately). Otherwise an enjoyable establishment ... a place to drink and be merry!
Good after work bar – I had an after work party there once, we reserved the whole back area, which was great, very intimate. A bit too dark though. Service was attentive. Drinks were pretty good. Seemed like an after work crowd, a get-a-way from the other touristy places in the area. There wasn't anything spectacular about it, but would recommend!
A Great Hangout Bar – Have visited often during the last two years. We live in New Jersey and when we want to travel into the city to watch a New York Sporting event this is the place we end up. Have been in several times for Yankee-Red Sox games and watched the US open (golf) last year pulling for Ernie Els along with the bartender. The waitstaff and particularly the bartenders are always first rate. The food is solid and the drinks fairly priiced. It can get crowded in the evenings but that is the price you pay. The backroom with the fireplace is noce and cozy place to spend a cold evening.
Great Time!!! – We went here to watch the Yankee-Boston game the other night because I knew they had a big screen. What a game...The waitress brought us by free shots every time the yanks hit a home run, and they hit a few that game. We all had a great time eating and drinking in the front, and after the game, I moved to the lounge in the back and grabbed a sofa and had a nightcap with my girl. Overall an amazing night. The food was good, and I loved not having to go to another bar to change up our night after the game.
Good place for drinks – My team's gotten together here a few times and they serve all the standard drinks. They have some great cocktails. We've tried all the appetizers and they're good and basic. The service is average to below average, but I think it's because the place can get crowded. Overall its a decent enough hang out with a mixed after work crowd.
won't suck the life out of your wallet – I like this place very much. It's like a loungy space with a divey atmosphere (yeah, it's a compliment). Yes, it can get crowded, but it's not one of those places that fills up so early you're sunk if you don't rush right over there after work. I've gotten space in the back as late as eight on a Friday night - people tend to congregate in the bar area. The drinks and bar food are good and priced appropriate to the venue. Nice middle-of-the-road place that should appeal to all.
