A DESIGNER LOVER'S DREAM – Everyone always said that I have expensive taste but I didn't have the BIG wallet. After finding La Boutique, I have been buying all my favorite designers with a modest salary. Now I getting tons of complements all the time!!!
Beautiful Clothing, Great Selection – Went there with my 2 Girlfriends and we all love this place. There are so many incredible things there from clothing to shoes to handbags. We all got lucky there. With so many incredible things, it's really hard to walk out without something. The prices are very reasonable too. Love their markdowns too. We are going back really soon. We joined their mailing list too for their blowout sales (can't wait)!!!
loved this consignment shop!!! – This was the very first consignment shop ive ever been in and I absolutely loved it! La Boutique Resale had everything perfectly organized and it was so easy to go through all of my sized clothing. The clothes were in perfect shape and everything was designer. they also had accessories, purses, shoes, coats....everything!!! the store was spacious and lovely and i will definitely be coming back here!!
Great Prices for Used Clothes – My daughter and I went into La Boutique and fell in love with some Missoni and Pucci dresses. We had a great time there and the prices were very reasonable. The only con is that the store is kinda of tiny. The do pack as much as they can in and I'm glad for it.
My Favorite NY Shopping Experience – I travel alot for my job and somehow I manage to stop at a few consignment shops along each trip. This is definately the best that I have been in. As I walked in, their showcase was filled with tons of incredible handbags (Chanel, Prada, LV, Gucci, etc). As I looked further on the racks, one designer after the other (too many to name). Tons of high end stuff. I just kept grabbing stuff to try on. In the end I walked out with a Cavalli dress, an Etro blouse, a Missoni sweater, and a Gucci handbag. I was behaving myself during this economy (or my husband would scold me) because I loved at least 10 other items. They were painful to leave behind.
I will definately be back and I will tell my girlfriends!!!
CALL FIRST BEFORE YOU CONSIGN TO DISCUSS YOUR ITEMS AND THEN MAKE AN APPOINTMENT – In response to the previous post, the consignee did not make an appointment to bring in consignment. The woman tried to consign items that were already rejected by our competitors. Unfortunately, the staff was very busy helping our customers making purchases when the woman brought in the items. The salesperson just took in the items and explained that the owner, Jonathan, was not here to review at this time and he will have to review when he gets in. The lady even signed a contract that we have the option to reject anything that isn't up to our high standards. The lady's consignments were not in high standards (worn, out-dated etc). The items should have just been donated instead of trying to push them off to another consignment shop. We only carry the finest high end designer items that are current and in pristine condition. We carry Chanel, Prada, Gucci, Chloe, Pucci, Jean Paul Gaultier, Hermes, Marc Jacobs, Giorgio Armani, Ralph Lauren, YSL, Valentino, Tuleh, Oscar De La Renta, Manolo Blahnik, Jimmy Choo, Issey Miyake, Yamamoto, Louis Vuitton, and etc. La Boutique has the widest selection of high end designers than any consignment shop in NYC.
My advice is to call and speak to the owner before your bring in the items. Be honest about what you have over the phone (how old, etc) and then make an appointment. We have thousands of happy repeat consignees for over 15 years.
Le Boutique Resale: Confused employees, poor customer service, there are a lot better choices! – I went there last Saturday to drop off clothing for consignment. I met with the saleswoman; she took 20 items of clothing, and issued me a receipt. Then on Thursday I received a phone call from the store telling me that I needed to come over immediately and pick up all the items of clothing that I dropped off a few days earlier. I then asked the store manager, Jonathon, why did the store accept my items only to now request that I pick the items up. He could not offer any explanation. I told him that I do not live in the area, I do not have a car, and I need to arrange transportation. I also explained to him that it is a waste of my time to travel back and forth. I told Jonathon that the store should not have accepted my items of clothing in the first place. Again he offered no explanation.
I have sold a lot of clothing and other items through consignment stores over the years, and this is the first time a consignment store accepted my items, then call me a few days later, and ask me to pick them up. I would not recommend Le Boutique Resale store. There are plenty of better choices in the neighborhood.
