Absolutely gorgeous, both inside and out. Went down to their restaurant to try their Sunday brunch. There was an omelet station, an eggs benedict station, and a meat station. Plenty of exquisite and interestingly mixed foods and deserts that was really spectacular. Definitely recommend to try the brunch if you're stopping by.
Good spa and good food – We stayed here for my birthday recently and we both had a good time. I had a whole day at the spa with the master suite, which included a private table, bath, patio, fireplace, and bathroom and it was gorgeous! Our cottage had it's own private patio as well however we both feel the decor is hideous, the room as well as the bathroom. Room service was excellent, we tried almost all of their salads and their cocnut shrimp. A train does pass by several times in the night and the beds are not the comfy. A good overnight trip, but we probably won't go back. The Four Seasons of Beverly Hills is much, much better!
Perfect Anniversary Weekend – My husband and I recently spent our anniversary at The Biltmore and it was a beautiful weekend. We stayed in a cottage which was luxurious and private with the most comfortable bed ever. We actually considered buying the bed we slept so well! And we especially appreciated the 'mountain' of chocolate covered strawberries and champage sent to our room with a hand-written note from the manager wishing us a happy anniversary. The service was perfect and the staff could not be more helpful.
My only complaint was with our experience at the hotel restaurant: Good food (which took forever) - just not great. Next time we visit this hotel, we will have dinner reservations at The Hungry Cat. One more thing: there is a train that passes by the hotel property and could be heard from our cottage. It wasn't that disturbing but you may want to ask about it when you make reservations.
But we will be back!
The ultimate in beachside luxury. – The Scene
Luxury has never looked so, well ... Californian. This casually elegant hotel is the crown jewel of Santa Barbara's ocean properties. The secluded location is far from the clamor of the local waterfront, and there's enough to do right on your doorstep that you need never leave. For starters, Montecito's long, lovely Butterfly Beach is right across the street.
With its low-profile Spanish-Mediterranean appearance, grand lobby and 22 acres of tropical landscaping, the hotel captures the essence of upscale Santa Barbara. Guest rooms and secluded cottages are showcases of traditional cum West Coast design, decorated with muted colors and beach-inspired art. The resort's La Marina Dining Room offers California Cuisine with international flair by Chef Martin Frost. In the spa, couples can unwind in an ocean-view suite equipped with a fireplace and twin massage tables.
Top notch – I recently attended a wedding at the Biltmore and was impressed by several things. First, the service was great. From the lobby, to the room, everything was covered. They even had earpiece walky talkies to make sure all bases were covered. The food was fantastic. What I enjoyed the most was the view of the ocean during the outdoor ceremony. Hearing the waves crash as my family member said, "I do" was nice.
Great at Sunset – This is a wonderful place to stay. The rooms are spacious and well maintained, the staff is courteous and their is a sense of luxury that permeates the air. The bar is cozy and is a great place for a cocktail and dessert at sunset.
