good for tourist/guests – This is a great place to take friends in from out of town. But honestly, it's so big that it's difficult to shop there.

Friends in from Europe? This place is a must.

Lets go Niketown! – Let’s go to Niketown again! That place was awesome, not just because I love to workout, which I do, but because they have so much to choose from. I felt like the store was built just for me, which I know it wasn’t, but it sure felt that way. I hit each and every floor with a couple of friends- there are five! The only issue I had was that I wished I could get a coffee mid way through out shopping experience.

I found a pair of sneakers I love, and another that I have my eye on, which I may have to go back and buy sooner than later. The staff was super helpful and attentive, but not too helpful if you know what I mean. They helped me find a sneaker that I can run in and wear on the street. Its actually one I wouldn’t have chosen but it makes for a sweet run – and it looks great!!

Chuck E. Cheese's for grown-ups – I've heard so much about Niketown from several of my (hardcore sporty) friends and never wanted to go; I'm not really a die-hard athlete type and didn't want to deal with jargony talk from associates and customers alike. I finally went because my boyfriend needed a new pair of running shoes for the marathon this year, and it's not at all like what I imagined. The complex has five color-coordinated floors and is really well planned out. I felt like I was in a Chuck-E-Cheese's for adults. I spent almost two hours wandering around slack-jawed, messing with and ogling at all the equipment. My boyfriend, of course, got exactly what he wanted because he knew what he wanted, but I also ended up getting new running shoes, too. The girl that helped me was incredibly patient, and she really explained the product specs well with regards to how they would work with my feet and my running needs. She wasn't at all condescending, and I came away having a better understanding of the biomechanics of running and how my own body works. Great place to go if you know what you're doing, and great place to go if you just want to be entertained and feel like you did when you were five and in a Toys "R" Us.

pricey, but way worth the visit – I would never buy anything in there because its all overpriced (unless you want something unique which you def will find there). But its 100% worth the trip especially if you like sports or are an athlete.

Love Nike but not this store... – I have always been a big fan of Nikes products, especially their running shoes. I came to Nike town, actually after coming from the new Under Armour store, looking for some compression pants. Store is huge and looking for stuff isn't fun on your own so I was on the search to find these pants. I must have seen four employees that could tell I was not finding what I was looking for and just over looked me. Finally I was so frustrated I walked up to a young lady and she just pointed me in the right direction which was not what I was expecting. Another employee did come over after 30 minutes to ask if I found what I was looking for and I was great full for that but it took long enough.

Well I found what I needed and they work just fine!

Editorial Review by Citysearch Editors – Part shoe store, part sports museum, this contemporary retailer offers high-performance athletic wear and pays tribute to top athletes.

Just do this store! – One of the coolest shops on earth with 5 floors of great Nike-things. Really, this is New York and real capitalism. In my top-5 stores in NYC, definetly.

Just Do It – you won't find cheap prices @ Niketown. if you want stuff off the sale rack go to footlocker or the mall. Niketown has all the latest sneakers and clothes, new Air Jordans etc..but it's full price. so bring the Gold card. This place is basically a shrine to Corporate Nike and all their paid-endorsees (the athletes) Michael Jordan etc...bottom line: good selection but $$$
