Not bad, and you just may luck out! – This Daffy's is my favorite (I also check out the Herald Square one from time to time). The shoe dept. is pretty pitiful (I'm a DSW girl all the way) but they sometimes have pretty dresses and tops and best part, their workout clothing area often has some great stuff. I bought a ton of wicking bra tops from FILA for $10 each in lots of fun colors. They also often have nice yoga pants for under $15.

The fitting room is pretty unsavory, but nowhere near as bad as Century 21 downtown. *shudders* You have a little private square with a slightly too narrow curtain.

Word to the wise: If they have an item you like and you want multiples, get them ASAP. They'll be gone next time you come in. Inventory turns over fast.

Nice Clothes at a good price – My Girlfriend and I have both gotten nice quality clothes that we can wear to professional meetings and look very stylish for a good price. I have gotten a few sold outfits to wear to work and have done it for less than $200.

Daffy's is great even celebs shop there – I am in agreement with love_shopping. I've shopped at the designer stores and keep coming back to Daffy's. If you have had trouble in one store the great thing is NY has several of them. I also think if you have time to go on an "off" time like the morning it's a much better experience. I ran across this great video of an actress who talks highly of the store and thought I would share it here. You should visit itsasickness(dot)com and look at the lounge for the video on Elena Goode. Enjoy the bargains!

say what??? about daffy's. – Sorry but all these other reviews are totally inaccurate. I love designer brands such as moschino, d&g, les copains and jil sander, but can't afford to buy any in regular stores. I spend a lot of my freetime bargain-hunting, and keep coming back to the same place: daffy's. Of course you need to spend time, but when you finally find a designer blouse worth of $800 for $80 and make all your work colleagues wonder if you have a 'sugar daddy' at home, you know it was worth it.

Dark and dismal--those great designer finds lurk just out of reach. – The Scene
Ever play hide-and-seek in the dark? The frustration of being unable to find what you're looking for is epidemic in this bargain-hunter's department store. Little care is taken with display, lighting and aesthetic, with everything in haphazard disarray. You may be drawn in when a friend says, "I found the greatest skirt at Daffy's!" but the tiring maze and so-so prices should be left to hard-core fans.

The Goods
True, Daffy's offers designer clothing, shoes and accessories at a fraction of the cost, but so do several other (nicer!) stores. Most items here look out of date and somewhat shabby, even though they've never been worn. For the effort it takes to unearth a funky Dolce & Gabana shirt or pair of DKNY boots, you could have gotten a second job and paid the original price.

Not that Great – This place certainly has many items to look at. However, I never find anything I like. Most of the clothing is either very weird, old-fashioned, or radical for my taste. It really takes a lot of energy to look through the clothing. I hate the dressing rooms because there are no sense of privacy.

Great for Kids' Clothing – My wife and I spent a recent Saturday combing the racks at Daffy's for baby clothes and were impressed by both the selection and prices (especially on clearance items). It should be noted that shopping at Daffy's takes patience--the store was rather messy and sizes weren't always properly marked. Our biggest find came among the baby shoes, where we picked up a pair of $30 sandals that were selling in Park Slope boutique shops for more than twice that amount.
