Terrible alterations. Terrible management. Turned what what supposed to be a fun experience into a nightmare.
Terrible People, Terrible Service – AWFUL – DON’T GO! I went there to have some of my bridesmaids try on dresses and the service was absolutely horrific! The Sales rep, Sandy, was probably the rudest person I’ve ever experienced in Sales. She literally ran away from me when I was trying to talk to her. And if I asked a question and for some help, she would look away and ignore me. I even went so far as basically begging her to help me find something in the style/material I was hoping for and she just went “mmm hmmm, you can just look around”. I actually found the dress that I would like my BMs to wear but due to the service level I received, I will be purchasing them from another retailer that knows how to treat and retain customers.
Lying Thieves – I paid $160 rush fee to have the dress ready in 6 months. When I got the dress, it was too long even though I had it custom measured. Since I was in another state, I could take it back to RK. I had to spend $500 taking in the long dress. RK insisted that they would have to see me to be sure that the dress was too long. They would not accept a picture or the reciept from Imperial Gowns.
RK then told me in a subsequent call that the dress I ordered was not a custom fit. (Why did they tell me it was and take all my measurements then and what was the $320 customization fee?)
RK said that all the measurements were taken in the store only to see what size you would fits into best, not for custom alterations. This is complete bull s*%t!
I'm sure all the "5-star" ratings here are written by themselves. I am so tired on dealing with these lying thieves.
ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. – DO NOT BUY YOUR WEDDING DRESS AT RK BRIDAL!
I am getting married in 2 weeks, and I cannot wait until I don't have to deal with these people any more. They ordered me the wrong size dress, so when I arrived for my first alteration appointment, the dress was huge. The poor seamstress had to remake the entire dress, and now I've been there 5 times for fittings, and the dress still doesn't fit right. I've never really complained about service somewhere before, but I have cried after almost every appointment so far.
They wanted to charge me an extra $120 for the alterations even though it's THEIR fault that they ordered the wrong size dress, which I refused to pay. Instead, they cut corners to fix the problem and have created 7 new ones. I wear a 34D bra size, and they have somehow managed to make me look flat chested. After 4 fitting appointments, they had altered the dress in such a way that my bra was now showing, and so they took it off of me, and are trying to insist that I need to go bra-less on my wedding day! RK bridal cuts corners, gives you the run-around, and makes you feel stupid. A bride shouldn't have to deal with that before her wedding!
This place has been absolutely awful. Please please please don't buy your wedding dress here. It may be cheaper, but you will waste days and days dealing with their schemes.
Horrible Customer Service Typical NY Rude – Bridesmaid Gown for sisters wedding in Chicago and had to purchase from NY. Slap of rudeness upon entry into the door. They make you take off your shoes in a rude tone. Most important, They don't listen they are too busy for you and too busy to help you in a decent manner. Had to get dress there because pressured for time. Calling over the phone is worse they will not listen to you and they make you feel as if you are not right and always wrong as customer. I was hung up on 4 times because of phone problems and instead of an apology I received the robotic , "Mam, how can we help you." I had pains in my stomach whenever calling because of there consistent rude manner. Buyer beware. It's amazing that anyone should ever put up with such rude service. I could go on with specific examples but that would be a page long, They should be shut down.
Worst Bridal Store Ever!!!! Run!!! – This store is the worst I have ever been to. My sisters and I took a trip to New York to try on Bridal Gowns for my sisters wedding. R.K Bridal requires that you be put on a waiting list to try on dresses. We went in and placed our names on the waiting list and sat on the benches provided for customers whose brides were in the dressing rooms. My sister had not yet begun to try on her dresses so we were asked to move. This was highlighted as store policy and we understood and promptly moved, so that other individuals whose name had come up could sit and observe their brides trying on dresses. However when my sisters name was called and we were to sit in the seats designated for us none of the other customers, were asked to move. We request to speak to a manager to have the situation rectified after our efforts to get our consultant to correct the situation proved to be futile. Another sales consultant, was allowed to scream at us, use profanity and call us out of our names. finally the manager approached us to inform us that we would be moved to the front if we were not quiet, clearly displaying a bias and discriminatory nature, due to the fact that no one else was addressed in the manner that we were, including the irate employee.
The employee clearly initiated the confrontation, with her clear lack of customer service as she began yelling at us simply because we made a request according to their policy to have the seating designated for us at that time. When we requested that the manager address the employee who was clearly out of line and Irate she refused, while that employee was allowed to continue to make unprofessional comments toward us, without recourse.
If you find a dress you like you can find in cheaper some where else, we did, dont waste you time at this store !!!!
Thier dresses are dirty and they stink like onions and body odor. Worst experience ever!!!!

So far...so good – Just purchased my dress from RK Bridal and in all honesty, had I read these reviews first, I would have never stepped foot in the place. My honest assessment thus far is pretty good but based upon these reviews, I am scared to have my alterations done here. I just my take my dress elsewhere for the alterations. I find the treatment by so many people here unacceptable if true. This is waaaay too many negative reviews for a business to have. Seriously.
In all honesty, I have had a great expereince so far. Yes...it is busy...but use your common sense. I have been three times so far. My first time I went on a Saturday....but we got there at 10am. We were seen within 1/2 hour or so. I loved the fact that we got to go through the racks first and make our selections. We were told that we could choose up to seven dresses. We did and thenmy consultant brought in more as we tried on dresses.
For me, the best thing about this place is the selection of plus size dresses...I'm talking sizes 18 and up!!! There is a seperate section for plus size dresses. The best part is that you are not stuck with the typical "A" line or ballroom gown...plenty of mermaids and trumpets for the larger gal to try on. No one has as many plus-sized samples...no one. This alone makes this place a must-see for the larger bride.
Also, to my surprsie, I did not have to pay extra to accomodate my larger size. Many dresses do have an extra cost but the prices are very reasonable. Skip David's Bridals if you are looking for a beautiful moderate dress...just come here...no comparison.
I am also buying my bridesmaids dresses here...they have a HUGE selection of dresses here, and their no-frills program can't be beat.
Still and all....I will not be stressed for my wedding and I will have to think long and hard about getting my alterations done here. I suspect that perhaps in spite of poor customer service, brides keep coming here due to the great prices and selection.
Warning: Avoid At All Cost!!! – plain and simple:
Went to try on for last fitting, my dress was loose. The person making the appointment wanted to make my appointment too close to my wedding date and that made me nervous. I asked if we could make it sooner, she snapped at me and walked away. Needless to say I was dumbfounded, tried to follow her to ask for a change date. She went to the back room and refused to talk to me, a guy and girl from the back stood in front of me and said that I needed to get out. I said I need to make an appointment for my alteration and they said, she gave you date, so leave. I persisted to say I need to speak with a manager and they said if you stay here WE'LL CALL THE POLICE!!!! I was outraged, felt like I was in a twilight movie and said call the police, I believe I need their help. Finally the owner came out, I believe more to keep other customers from witnessing this scene, and snapped at me too. I told him I need a date for alterations and he finally gave me a descent date.
Bottom line: I left there disgusted, but forced to purchased this dress since my wedding was weeks away. Disgusting does not even begin to describe how bad this place is and I can't believe it is still in business.
My sister is getting married next year and she will not be bringing any business to them!
Find another place. It is not worth the frustration and embarrassment, especially during this happy occasion.
Terrible service – This place. I tell you. I'm always the fair review type when it comes around. I will tell the truth.
This place hugely disappointed me. I had been here about 10 times and had not had a problem, aside from the careless unprofessional attitude that you kind of have to brush off. Once, to try on a million dresses for my friend's wedding. I purchased the dress, they met the price, everything ok!
Here comes my time to try on wedding gowns. When you walk in, you kind of have to shake the attitude you receive upon walking in. It's a sort of "what do you want" attitude. OKAY! I want a dress, thankyouverymuch.
So, I am attended by Gilda, who did a GREAT job in finding dresses perfect for me. Although I didn't think any of those were the "one," she was definitely spot on when helping me.
Fast forward...all of the other times I went in, I was ignored to death because Gilda was not there. It's a commission thing. Once someone helps you and you return to try more dresses on, you will be completely ignored if your associate is not there. So of course, I pick dresses that are completely wrong for me. The associate helping me does not offer to get me dresses that are great for me. Instead, she rushed me out, left me in the fitting room trying to hold back my anger. She said, "I don't mean to rush you but try to hurry and get dressed because I have a bride after you that I have to get to."
No help. Nothing. What they're supposed to do is look at your figure and style of dress and suggest gowns to you, bring them in, and work their magic. Nothing done.
That day, as the associate kicked me out of the dressing room, I complained to the manager. What does she do? Nothing. Suggests nothing and explains that because they close, they have to get to the other brides and basically kickede me out.
They need to hire more staff, more *professional* staff like Gilda. Unfortunately, these people are a KLASS act.
The next day, I posted my experience on the south florida board (Theknot). I swear to you - the manager posed as someone who was there at the exact time I was, she called me bridezilla and said it was all a lie. Wow! So maybe she should get off the RK Bridal computers and help the brides that are waiting to try dresses on. Do not be disappointed by these less than professional people. They do not know how to please their customers. My complaint should have been taken to improve their service.
I'm tired of fighting through RK Bridal. I gave them my money ONCE for a bridesmaid dress but I will not return and will give them my money for my wedding dress.
Do not bother with this place.
