I had the worst experience ever dealing with a young sales girl whose name was lauren smeke she was glassy eyed and seemed stoned and spent the whole time texting and on the phone and kept leaving and got in an argument with another sales person I also think she smelled like alcohol and she kept slurring her words and took forever to bring me out the shoes I wanted to try on. I would never deal with lauren or Harrys again
Trouble with Harry's Shoes – Terrible problem with this store. I tried on two pairs of shoes, picked one to buy and was given the wrong pair. When I got home I realized it and had to go all the way back. They were unpleasant, unapologetic and insisted I was exchanging the shoes. Argued with me.
Not the first time I have been treated rudely in that store
Most customer unfriendly store I've ever encountered – This is quite possibly the worst store I've ever been to. One would think that customers aren't a necessary part of their existence. Terribly unfriendly, disrespectful, pompous staff. The return policy is archaic and things move at a molasses slow pace. I wouldn't go back to this place if my life depended on it.

Harry's shoes - Horrible costumer service – Although Harry's Shoes in the UWS has a wide selection of comfort shoes also at a varied range of prices, costumer services is just atrocious. I've been there twice and had bad experiences both times. The first time the sales associate was patronizing and tried to sell me a part of shoes where one of the shoes was so weathered that it looked a completely different color than the other shoe of the pair. She also tried to sell me a pair of shoes that was way to big for me and when I refused, she behaved in a rude manner by arguing with me and then walking away. The second time I went there (my mistake since I had already promised myself to never shop there again) I stood around for twenty minutes and then got no help. When I walked up to a salesman at the front of the store to request a pair of shoes his answer was: "those shoes in black are not on sale, they are $260", and instead of helping me find a more suitable pair, he just stood there, doing nothing - I guess he doesn't need to sell any shoes to make a living.
I've been treated FAR better at Tip Top Shoes on 72nd Street, and as much as I like to support independent business, I'd rather go to a chain like Shoe Mania or David Z's before coming back to this joint.
NO MONEY BACK ON RETURNS!! – I just went back to return a pair of shoes I bought yesterday, and when I told this to the nice girl at the register, she wasn't allowed to make the exchange. I wondered why. And then along comes a man who seems very stern and ready for a fight. After a close evaluation of the pair of shoes, he asks, "What would you like to exchange these for?" I said, "Nothing. I'd just like a credit." He said, looking me straight in the eye, again, prepared for a fight. "No money back, sir. Just a store exchange. It's written all over the back wall here." Oh, I see now. Every time there is an exchange, they know they're in for a possible fight...because they know NO ONE reads the walls in back of the cash registers!!! They know this. They know it's sleazy. They must have tons of confrontations over this when people want to return their shoes. That's why the nice girl at the register had to get the stern man for the exchange. He obviously handles all of the confrontations. He was rude, obnoxious, and condescending. If the store were up front and honest, they would tell every customer that there is ONLY STORE CREDIT at the time of purchase -- but NO. They sleazily put it on the wall, so that if you don't read it (and who does??) you're stuck! "It's all over the wall for everyone to read," says the stern man ready for a fight. Give me a break! It's rude, sleazy, and greedy! After I use my credit and get another pair of shoes, I'm never giving them another dime. SLEAZY!!
Great – My salesman, Kenny was extremely helpful & insightful and really made my shopping experience successful & even educational. Thanks!
Great Service – Having just been served by Lloyd I was inspired to write a complimentary note about his patience, kind manner and also eagerness to please. He’s a treasure! Thanks
Keep coming back – The reason I keep coming back is the people like Sam who helped me.
Can't Get Any Better Than This Place!! – Nadia is a superb salesperson. Smart, energetic, takes initiative, warm, friendly, excellent! You are the best shoe store!
