AWFUL FOOD!!! – A group of six went to eat there and the food was horrible & over-rated! Overall, just terrible. In addition, the service was crappy and careless. I would not recommend this restaurant at all. Never eating there again. Two thumbs down! If I had more thumbs, they all would be down.
actual chinese food! – I love eating Chinese food here. I always order the Generals tso’s chicken. Its actually chicken!
Clean good food – Stick to the simple dishes and you'll be happy, this is not a fancy place but the food is clean and good.
Always fast and cheap way to eat on the run.
love it!!! – We have not been here in a long time!
They are still great as ever!
We moved away from nyc and have recently returned to the "outer boroughs" lol. We now DRIVE into the Upper West Side for this great place!! YUM! Thanks guys!!
good, fast, inexpensive! – I'm so glad they are open again after closing to change the space. Strangely, I've not eaten there at the restaurant - I always get take out on the way home from work about once a week. Rice and beans, excellent, and most of the Cuban food is good. Chinese dishes vary - if you are used to Chinatown traditional restaurants, well this won't be it. But the simple dishes are very good - fried rice, green beans with black bean sauce, etc. I've never had anything I didn't like, and the price is always right!
GREAT SPOT – THE FOOD IS VERY GOOD. TRY THE PORK CHOPS AND WORK YOUR WAY OUT FROM THERE. FRIED DUMPLINGS ARE THE BEST IVE HAD. STAFF IS JUST THE BEST. IF YOU GO YOU MAY SEE ME BY THE WINDOW NEAR RHE DOOR. ENJOY
the worst! – I think the restaurant is horrid! The calamari was tough as tires, the rice was undercooked, the sauces was watery and gross.
One of the best deals in NYC – If you live in NYC and have not been to La Caridad than you are cheating yourself out of a great New York experience. This is stick to your ribs type stuff at a great price. I would stick to the Cuban food in particular the beef stew. This is not necessarily a date place but if you are looking for a good meal on the cheap you cant be La Caridad. Im getting hungry just writing about this place. Next time you go to a show at the Beacon stop by here first for a great meal.
Eat and run! – It's 90% Chinese, 10% Cuban. The food is cheap but one of the waiters treats his customers like dogs. The portion is big so eat quick and leave!
Chuleta frita! – $10 (including tip) gets you three monster pork chops with a side of sweet plantains and salad. And that is about the most expensive thing on the menu...
Excellent value and consistently good
