Tips for Fiona's Bar & Restaurant
Great Irish Breakfast / But $8 Bloody Marys with 1 drop of Vodka?.
I like to take the High Road but really now! I have been to Fionas 4 times now and always have enjoyed the food. The drinks there (other than beer and wine) have always been a little weak and thats ok. Me and my girlfriend are not looking to have a party for breakfast.
Yesterday I went there and watched the bartender unabashedly and literally put a little less than teaspoon of "drink" in our drinks. I sat there for a minute, then stood up and politely asked for the check. The owner went over to the bartender and asked her why we were leaving and she said "I dont know". He then asked her to find out which she did not even bother to do. I paid my check left the drinks pretty much untouched and made our quiet exit to Kinsale.
Sorry guys.... I gave you 17 dollars...... I lived up to my end of the deal.
We did enjoy our walk though.
Better than average pub food. Excellent, friendly service. Great bartenders. Clientelle from every age group. Can accommodate large parties. Lovely brunch. Wonderful shepherd's pie.
I'll be there on Sunday. Fionas is a great UES pub that serves a mean burger. Just dined there with a party of seven from age 2 to 92 - all had a great time.
Favorite Irish Bar. The food is very good, the owner is very nice, the waitstaff is great, the place is clean, everyone is friendly.... it's a great place to hang out, and it especially shines when you want to watch a sporting event, domestic or foreign.
