A grande dame of the American stage has a little stage on Broadway to carry on her name. – Originally built in 1912 as the Little Theatre to house unproven new plays, this space bears the distinction of initially being designed without a box office. When the Helen Hayes Theater was knocked down in 1982, the Little Theatre was renamed in her honor. By Broadway standards, it remains a tiny but charming theater. All seats feel close to the action and acoustics are fine throughout.
