What People Are Saying About Kim's Auto and Body Repair
Kims Auto Repair: Kim's dishonesty cost me $600
by R4U at Citysearch
Please beware the positive reviews written at Kim's request. Kim’s Auto Repair and Auto Body is very dishonest. I paid $600 for a car repair. It was not done correctly. Kim also did not replace all the parts he charged me for. When I returned, he said the problem was that I suddenly needed brakes. No, the local dealer said my brakes were fine. When I returned again, Kim accused me of returning to get free work. No, I am an honest customer who trusted Kim and paid $600. Also beware his hand-scribbled estimate. It does not cover what he says he will do -- it is shrewdly written so you cannot prove this. He told me I was paying $600 for a certain repair. Then he found ways to do just part of the job and replace just some of the parts I paid for. I also requested that he give me the used parts (a customer's right). But he said they were thrown away. So I had no official estimate and no parts to show that Kim did not do what he promised for my $600. I finally went to another mechanic and paid again to have the job done correctly. Sure, you will like the lower price Kim promises. But it is a dishonest trick. I am writing this honest review so other customers will not have the same terrible experience and waste of money at Kim's Auto Repair. Good luck.
Kims Auto Is BAD

They ruined my CL500!!! I took my car in there to get the painting fixed and they repainted it and they did such a bad job my car was worth less after they painted it! There was dirt in the paint everywhere, ripples in the paint, bubbles and they gave it back to me covered in dirt so I wouldn't notice. On top of all that they lost a piece of the bumper and wouldn't replace it. I had them do it again and it was worse the second time around! I had to pay over 200 for a rental because of there mistakes, and Kim would not refund me the rental car fee's. My car is destroyed because of them. If you love your car, keep it far away from them! I can't believe they are still in business! They ruined my CL500 Mercedes Benz. I paid over 3k for them to paint my car. They are unprofessional, and have no clue about how to paint a car, or fix one. I GOT RIPPED OFF!!! I hate Kim's auto!! Go somewhere else or you will regret it. KIM I HOPE YOU GO OUT OF BUSINESS! You deserve it for what you did to my car. I am sure you remember me. I will make sure I warn everyone about you. I am having to pay a lot to fix what you did! I should sue you!
- Pros: Only if you don't go
- Cons: everything
Grest prices, service & workmanship

I had some minor surface damage to my bumper, and Kim's gave me a quote half, yes HALF, of the one I received at Collision 1 on Roosevelt. Kim, the owner, is extremely nice and accommodating, even waiting around for an hour when I was late for pick-up on a Saturday. They're crew works in the evening, so I was able to pick up the next day. I also didn't get the pretentious attitude that I've come to expect, as a chick, from auto-body shops. The workmanship was perfect, and they even did a light clean job on the rest of the outside! HIGHLY recommended.
- Pros: workmanship, service, timeliness
- Cons: cleanliness--but it IS an autobody shop.
