MY FAVORITE RESTAURANT.
I've eaten at the Onion on many, many occasions and have never been disappointed. The menu offers a great variety of dishes from moderately priced to the more expensive cuisine. Service has always been very, very good. Their waiters and waitresses have always been very friendly and accommodating.
The restaurant's decorations are perfection; however, it is the view overlooking their lake that is breathtakingly beautiful. In the warm months, you can eat on the patio overlooking the lake. It is exceptionally lovely when the wild flowers are in bloom. Once we had a few unexpected guests -- humming birds that dined on the nectar of the wildflowers by our table. The Onion remains one of my all time favorite places to eat.
The worse dining experience i have ever had...and we never even got seated!!!. This place is TERRIBLE!!!!! i went there with my family for mothers day,we had a reservation at noon but they had obviously overbooked so we waited and waited and waited. around one we started asking about our table and were treated very rudely by the woman at the desk and told to keep waiting. we could see that plently of tables were available and that they were skipping our name and putting all the other parties ahead of us. we told them that we had already waited an hour and the woman condiscendingly said "yeah and now your gonna wait another hour." we finally asked to speak to the manager at which point the woman accused us of verbal abuse and called the police. when the police came she screamed profanity and cursed at every member of my family. we didnt get arrested because the police could obviously see that we were NOT at fault but our mothers day was completely ruined. we had eaten there once before and the food was nothing special and over priced. if you have a special occasion...do NOT go to this establishment because even with a reservation you may not even get seated. and whatever you do...dont complain about anything because apparently it is against the law and they will call the police, cause an emabarrassing scene and verbally abuse anyone who tries to get some descent service. this may sound like an exaggeration and you can believe it or not but they had the nerve to call my grandmothers, aunts, mother and myself degrading, derogatory names (which i cant put on here so use your imagination) on mothers day! go there at your own risk...and be sure to bring money for bail just in case!
