Linden multiplex cinema permitted a large group (15 to 20) of preschooler ages 3 to 5 to watch "Bad Grandpa" today 11/06 @ 12:50 pm. It is very inappropriate for children to be exposed to such sexual content, nudity and profanity. I expressed my concern to the manager and he stated that the multiplex had no control since the patrons had already purchased their tickets. I was refunded my money and left the establishment feeling disgusted and very upset. As a parent i am very disappointed that this particular movie theater does not follow regulations. It only cares about a profit at the expense of endangering minors. I made sure i filed a complain on the consumer affairs website as well. This is unacceptable.
Customer service standards are poor – I remembered wheb this theater first opened it was so clean and it was the place to go in Brooklyn...now a lot has changed its empty and the workers are the worse
A horrible day at the movies – I love going to the movies with my children and they love it as well, but after the last visit I refuse to take my kids back to Linden movies. The last time I was there I bought our tickets and was told to wait while they cleaned up I said no problem, about 10 minutes later the usher said we can go in. When me and the kids went in it was so dirty garbage every where I could not find a place to sit it was so nasty. I said no this is not fair to us I asked for a manager . The manager looked at me like I was crazy she sent someone to clean it ,that
Person did a horrible job and the manager didn't even come in to check and there was no apology . It was so nasty and that is why me and my family don't go there anymore. Its so sad because its a beautiful place but I guess they feel because its in the ghetto it can be nasty but that is not fair to the guest
Review – I had a prety decent time at this theater. some of the workers behind the concession stand had a funky attitude but hey... i didnt go to see them.
You would b better off buying a bootleg! – You wud b better off buyin a bootleg!! DO NOT BUY TICKETS FRM THE VENDING MACHINES!! the place is a dumpster!! ughh...I dnt recommend it!!
Consistantly disappointing – Once the movie starts and the lights are down, it's just my girl, myself, and the movie. Getting to that point is more difficult than it should be... Latest example is tonight when we went to see Hellboy II. Got there, got my tickets from the automated kiosk, and proceeded to wait in line at the concession stand. Over a dozen people there, and as usual, only 1 person behind the counter (the one with the grill). Luckily the movie was supposed to start at 9:25, so we had a half hour to go before the movie started. We get the food, get to the seats, and wait. And wait. And wait. 9:35 and still no movie. Since this happened before I decided not to get up this time, but I called them from my seat IN THE THEATER to ask them when the 9:25 movie will start. I was told it would start after the previews. I asked when the previews start. They said it started at 9:25. Then I told the lady it was after 9:30 and I was in theater #9 looking at a blank screen. To her credit, the previews started about a minute later. After the previews, the feature started and a couple of minutes into that, I called back to ask if they could turn off the lights. Yes, the lights, all of them, were still on. This time it took about two minutes but they finally dimmed the lights. Never thought I'd see the day when I'd have to call twice while I am in the seat to remind them of the basics light the movie and the lights. By the way, the movie was good, as good as the first one. And the company, great as usual. I would recommend the movie, but unfortunately, not the theater. Oh, and just as a goodbye gift, they must have been taking the garbage out when we were leaving because the corridor reeked.
Do not use the ticket vending machines! – the experience was cool but I advise you to never use the ticket vending machine to purchase your tickets. your account will be totally screwed because they take a long time to reconcile the debit/credit charges. if a card is declined they will still hold the funds while they take a week or more to reconcile their records.
