Had a great experience at Kleinfeld. Ingreid, a sales associate was extremely friendly and respectful. She was very sweet and patient with me. Thank you for all your help.
Horrible experience! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!!! Rude and snobby staff...I purchased a bridal gown, veil and a pair of shoes for my daughter at this store...during her bridal fitting, her ordered shoes were brought out and the assistant who retrieved them for her placed them on her feet under the wedding gown and later removed them, placing them in the box. Once we returned home, my daughter opened the box to "show off" her beautiful new shoes; only to find that they were scuffed and well-worn on the bottom. We brought them with us for the second fitting in the hopes of exchanging them for an appropriately new pair. Unfortunately we were told that under no circumstances were there any returns or exchanges. What? These shoes were passed off as and sold as in "new condition"; why else would anyone in their right mind pay $250 for a pair of "used" shoes. To make matters worse, the staff was rude and gave significant attitude about the issue, stating "who is going to see them anyway...they are under your dress". I am completely flabbergasted! This is how customers spending well over $6000 are treated? Disgusting customer service! Definitely NOT worth all the hype!!!
What a disaster! I went shopping with my daughter, who was very excited to be there at first. Her attendant was very insensitive and at the end down right rude. She told my daughter that she wasn't a mind reader and would only allow her to try on 5 dresses. My daughter ended up in tears at one point. At the end, when we finished up the 5th dress,(which I must say she liked) she asked what our decision was. We hadn't even discussed $$ yet. After I told her this was my daughter's 1st time trying on dresses and wanted to look around to make sure this would be the dress, she became totally rude. She told me the price of the dress was for today and today only. I told her she was pressuring us and that I wouldn't buy a dress under these terms. I felt if you are quoting someone a price than why wouldn't that price be good next week. We also wanted to take a picture of her in the dress and she told us we couldn't! My daughter wanted to look at the dress at home to think about it. We also couldn't have the dress information! When asking questions about the designer etc. the attendant was very evasive. The very next day we went to another bridal shop. WHAT A DIFFERENCE! We were actually treated with RESPECT and dignity! Something Kleinfelds lacks. We were told the names of the designers, we were allowed to take pictures, she was allowed to try on as many dresses as she wanted, she was allowed to look through other dresses, and we were even offered a glass of water! Now THAT'S a REAL BRIDAL SHOP!!
I am glad this was her first experience so she could see the difference in how you SHOULD be treated as a customer and as a HUMAN BEING!
Please ask your clients to clean up their language. Recently someone who was using tons of "crystals" in her wedding use the term "mf" and the "f" word numerous times during the filming. Most disgusting for a business of your caliber. Lots of people watch your show and they are not interested in hearing those words or seeing them as they are being beeped out but you can still tell what was said. Thanks.
I was extremely nervous about going to kleinfeld's for my wedding dress as I had only bad experiences going with friends to pick out their dresses. However, I had a very different experience because of my bridal consultant Christiane Boyiakis
Christiane made the experience amazing as she really listened to what I was looking for in a wedding dress. She picked out dress after dress of exactly the style of I liked and I couldn't decide which dress was better!!
I feel this is the type of place that can be amazing or horrible based on the person you work with. My recommendation is if you want to go to kleinfeld's, ask for Christiane!
I just got engaged and I was really excited to pick out my dress. I decided to go to Kleinfeld’s to check out what they have since they supposedly have such a large selection, but I honestly didn't get to see much even if they did. My dress consultant, Erika Molina, was absolutely horrible she was not only rude, but she had horrible taste and she kept on judging me because I didn't want to try on the ugliest dresses I had ever seen. I told her I wanted to get a second dress and that it had to be very light and I really wanted something in chiffon, especially since I was going to trash the dress inside the beach. So after 5 mins of her looking at me in total shock and telling me that I shouldn't it she finally decided to do her job and get me some more ugly dress that weren't chiffon and were really heavy. Not only will I never go back there, I would actually rather spend more on a dress somewhere else then ever spend one dime at Kleinfeld’s. I was so disappointed and really shocked, I was in customer service for over 5 years and I would never treat a costumer the way she treated me. If you do decide to go I warn you not to get her as consultant.
HORRIBLE! – bought a Jim Hjelm gown from a retailer who had been in business for over 40 years, Kleinfelds. We paid thousands of dollars for a "designer" dress as well as an alteration fee for their tailoring expertise. We expected first quality designer item and ended up with a dress whose zipper broke 30 seconds after putting on the dress.
I had my last fitting where the seamstress had a hard time zippering the dress. I asked her if there was an issue with the zipper and she said no - assuring us that every thing is perfect and that since the dress is altered to be fitted to the body it was just hard for her to maneuver the zipper since it was a small piece.
We picked up the dress which was stuffed with tissue paper and that's how it was transported for the wedding ceremony. The dress was not touched until the time it was put on to where my nightmare watching the zipper come apart began. An hour late to the church and $300 later, I was sewed into my dress by a local cleaners, but cleary could see the uneveness and damage, not to mention the embarassment of showing up an hour late to the church!
We paid for alterations at Kleinfelds and expected 1st quality alterations by experienced staff - they were the experts on whom we relied and to whom we paid for their services. I as a consumer expected the dress to be first quality and usable for the occasion for which it was bought. I did not expect trauma on a day which should have been care free and to hassle in locating a tailor to come and sew me into my dress.
Kleinfelds offered to pick up the dress, reimburse us for the tailor and to preserve it for me. FOR WHAT?? I need it on my wedding day, not after!! That is not acceptable. We did not get the 1st quality product we paid for and this was a one time only dress, what will I do with it now??!?
I am shocked at their lack of response and attitude towards this and the ruining of a day which should have been perfect. I contacted them and it takes them days if not weeks to call me back. I leave messages, nothing.
I am now going through my credit card for a full refund. This place is a joke....they only care about their show and the "stars" that work there now....if you want true customer service you are better off with a smaller retailer that will provide you with true customer service and not the run around.
Say "NO" and don't go!!!! – YOUR overall rating system in inaccurate!
Out of 90 reviews, over 33% are very negative and if you weight the "1" scores, this place should get an overall score of ....maybe 3 stars most.
TV fame has gone to their heads. These "celeb-u-brats" think they should walk the red carpet.
I walked in and I thought I was at a funeral home. Everyone in black, not a smile, I was looking for the casket.
I asked 3 times to see my favorite designer and it WAS NOT PARNOVIAS yet they kept on bringing me these down market type gowns hyping them as if they were getting extra money to sell them, or maybe they own the company, i don't know.
Klienfeld is "Klien-Fall" since they have gotten a bigger head than a bigger heart. And stop with the damn sale rack in the back hall of the store. That's where I found the casket. Dead wedding gowns......Going to find another bridal shop. Any suggestions girlfriends?
Do they even read these reviews? Obviously not.
Kleinfeld's was Incredible!!!!!!! – Wow, what an experience! I had an appointment on 02/20/12 for their sample sale. I was met by Erika who right from the start was very sweet and caring. She asked me about my big day, what I was looking for and immediately got to business. I did not feel rushed at all. I showed her my top 5 and she instructed me and my girls to go check out the dresses either on the sale rack or anywhere else while she tried to find the dresses I brought with me. We looked for a few minutes and she had us go back to the dressing room.
I tried on a variety of dresses to make sure I was not missing out on any type of design or color. There were 2 I really liked, and one that I liked only the top part. So, she went out and found a dress that had every element of the dresses that I loved. She had asked my budget which I said was $2000 and brought in a dress that was slightly over at $2500, as soon as I put on the dress I knew it was the one. It was stunning and was everything I had hoped for. She was so excited when I told her I wanted it, she gave me a big hug.
I was as skeptical about this place as anyone else due to some shaky reviews about rude staff or snobby comments about budgets being too low. But I have to say I had an amazing experience and I can thank Erika for that. I can't wait to get my dress in!!!
Full Figured Women....DON"T – To all full figured women,
Please do not go to Kleinfeld thinking they have fashion forward dresses in larger sizes. I am a 16/18 and was treated like a second class citizen. I wanted a fashion forward dress in a material other than satin. Camille brought in two dresses and then sent me to a small back room to look through the plus sized dresses. The dresses were old fashioned and dowdy. The dresses were also so worn that part were fraying and I was told to use my imagination. The total appointment lasted 20 minutes. Now for the good news; full figured brides need to go to Curvaceous Couture in Columbia MD. A store made for the curvier bride. You are treated great! I tried on about 15-18 dresses most of which were actually too big for me and they have all the newest styles. Fly into Baltimore and Columbia is right around the corner.
Do not believe the HYPE about KLEINFELD, you will be disappointed.
