Came here for lunch with the family, and I was really impressed. They have a great selection of pizzas that you just won't find at other places. I was feeling adventurous, so I ordered the tostada pizza. It was actually really good. The crust could have bin a bit better, but overall a really delicious pizza you can't find elsewhere. The staff are very polite and attentive, and we never had to wait long for refills. The place was clean, and the dining room was bright and spacious. The only downside was that it was a bit more expensive than what I'm used to for pizza. Overall, I had a really great time, and I'm definitely coming back next time I'm in the neighborhood.

Went there this week for the first time. Not impressed with the pizza at all...or the app I had either which were the lettuce wraps. Super oily and bland. The pizza was WAY overcooked and dry towards the outside with the crusts almost black, but the very center was soggy. Fresh basil was "suposed" to be one of the toppings on our pizza, but whatever they put on our pizza was dried basil almost to the point of dust. If I wasen't on a first date, I would have asked our server to take it back and bring us something more edible. Asain plum martinis were decent.

I brought my parents her for lunch on a sunny day, and we sat outside-boy was that a mistake! Our server only came by twice: once to deliver drinks, and the other to take our orders. Most restaurants recognize that people who come for lunch are usually on a time limit and need to get back to their jobs-not here. I had to repeatedly walk into the restaurant to check on our order, and our server repeatedly came out to the tables on the patio, but NEVER back to ours. It was ridiculous and rude! What a horrible experience for my parents who had never been here before. I ended up having to go back to work without my food and my parents were still waiting for it to be delivered-not before talking to the manager however, who ended up comping our entire meal. That being said, there was no reason to have been treated the way were-it's not like it was busy that day, either!! I will NEVER come back, and would warn others to stay away!

All about the color scheme – California Pizza Kitchen

It makes sense this chain started in California not only because of the name but you can see the colors are more in line with sunshine?they really like the color Yellow in CPK. It kind of reminds me of going into Oba with the color scheme they have, which on a cold rainy day in Portland, OR is very nice to see. Portlanders can you feel me on this?

The service was excellent as our waiter Pete from Washington, DC took good care of us. You might ask how I know he?s from DC and it seems that every waiter/waitress wears a name badge and below their name it lists where they were born. Interesting. And cool. Which again, is what California?especially southern California?is all about.

Oh yeah, the food. I guess that?s why you?re reading this. I figure for my first time I HAD to try their pizza and it was pretty good. I had the Sicilian. I?m used to more of a thicker crust so that was the only thing I was disappointed with. But the portion of food for the price was great. My friend and I had two pizza?s and bread for only $24, not counting the tip. I only ate ? my pizza since I was at lunch and didn?t want to go back to the office with the dreaded lunch-coma. Perhaps the cost might be more for dinner-time. Even said, I still found the price to be reasonable.

I can tell this organization has some kind of sense of humor as I went there on Oct 31 and some of their employees were dressed up in their Halloween costume.

The restaurant itself wasn?t as big as I?d expected but they have a pretty good sized bar that looks like a cool place to hang out, especially if you like the color yellow.
