Wonderful Quality and Service – I have nothing but wonderful things to say about the team at San Art. They exceed my expectations every time. It is always wonderful service, outstanding finished products, and lovely people. Everyone there is patient, warm, and helpful. If you have framing needs, this is the place to go!
Love these guys. – Ive tried several frame shops in BK and Manhattan and this one is by far the best. The owner REALLY knows how to make your art look good. And is very helpful i piking ou tthe right materials (even if they are the cheapest ones!)
Great work – I have used San Art many many times and find the owner professional, informative (even when it comes to saving me money) patient, and helpful. I don't understand what the negative reviewers here expect--to be treated like superstars? This is a working shop. He gives all customers individualized attention. The product is flawless.
This place has got talent – This guy knows his stuff! I had an amazing experience at this frame store. He recently framed our ketubah. So reasonably priced and talented. He knows his stock very very well (even though it is quite extensive) and he is willing to present all your options in terms of price, given what color/style you are looking for. This place just exudes creativity!! Good luck, San Art!!
great framing, poor manners – I have used San Art several times, because they do good work, they are coveniently located, and reasonable. But everytime I was treated rudely, for ex door was open - so one would assume store is open - and I was told rather tartly to read sign and asked to wait outside for 15" (no problem waiting, but a little courtesy would not hurt). The atmoshpere does make you feel as if the store is doing you a favor.
A little Asberger-ish, I dare to say.
by far the best framer in brooklyn – i am always always extremely happy with the work that i have done at san art. The prices are amazing, especially considering how outrageous they are at every other frame store in the city. And in response to the nasty review of the owner, i hardly think it's fair of you to speak so negatively of this business because you felt bad about not knowing something. I find that the employees always know exactly what is best for my art and, even when i don't know what something is, are always happy to explain exactly what they're talking about. I highly recommend having all of the framing work you need done here.
If you enjoy being treated like dirt... – The first review is only incorrect as it didn't mention how utterly rude the owner is! He couldn't have been less happy to have me as a customer. I brought in a lovely poster to be framed under glass and he ridiculed me when I didn't understand some of the terminology he was using. Then he basically told me to leave when I explained I had seen other framers with lower prices. This guy is such a horrible individual it's almost funny. IF YOU ENJOY GIVING PEOPLE LOTS OF MONEY WHO ARE EXTREMELY INSULTING THEN THIS IS YOUR FRAMER!
It's about the framing... – It's too bad that the other reviewer decided to leave before checking out the actual product - San Art is second to none. PLEASE NOTE: this is a very small store with very few employees - and if there's a few people there waiting to be served you'll definitely wait for a while. Why? Because once you're in talking to the framers, they're going to give you all the time that you need: even if you need a LOT of time, and there are impatient people behind you. The owner of the store does incredible work - you will be very happy with whatever work you have done.
Never again, very poor customer service – This place is the worst for customer service, I stood in line (only the third person in the store) for 45 min. and the two people working there didn't help/acknowledge me or ask what I needed. All I needed was something very simple and they instead chose to talk to the other two customers and let me stand there. Never again! They may be good, they might have fair prices, I couldn't tell you because their customer service is awful. Definitely not worth your time.
