Great, clean club – This is a really nice club. The pool is beautiful, and, as far as I know, they don't have any youth swim team. But, there are always plenty of lanes to swim in, and the water is very clear and clean. The locker rooms are HUGE, and they even have a sauna and steam room. Rates are very resonable, too. I just don't have anything bad to say abaout this place.
Brooklyn Sports Club Aquatic Team – Beware!
Do not sign up children in the Aquatic team!
Swimmers will not receive the training that is needed to be a competitor in US Swimming sanctioned events. The past two head coaches and staff were let go due to vague reasons , not because of ability.
The kids training and competition events have suffered enormous setbacks due to the policies of the club administration. There is no continuity, and pride among members.
Staff not too friendly – To be fair, I must say that I only went in the gym to obtain information. The staff was not pleasant and didn't seem to be knowledgeable of the services.
World's Best Health Club with the best staff on the planet – I just had the best time at a health club... who da thunk it???
I walked in and was welcomed by the nicest young ladies at the reception desk. They made me feel so welcome explaining where the locker rooms and all the other things and places I would need. Then I go down to the locker room and get this, there?s carpet on the floor!!! Also changing rooms and a vanity area where I could plug in my cell and have it charge wile I did hair and make up. I?m getting ahead of myself, when I went upstairs, there is a gigantic top floor that is all full of machines and weights and a stretch area, they have a guy walking around just to tell you how to work the machines and any other helpful info you may need. There are about a million classes of all kinds. I am going to sign up for the Adult Self Defense Classes because as of tonight, I?m a Member.
Rude staff – First, I'd like to state that I think this gym is the GREAT! wonderful machines, clean, spacious, not really crowded, sauna, steam room, pool etc. My only complaints are that the front staff are not always polite and you'll cen get a taste of this even when you call. A young unprofessional staff and a bit snobbish. I skipped on many classes because I can seem to get moving to calypso music. I feel they should alternate this. I do carry my Ipod but then I won't be able to her instructions. Other than those two things the gym itself is fabulous.
The Most Complete Gym in the City – This is my escape from the real world. Although I prefer training outdoors for Triathlons, this gym offers the most complete ebvirnment for me and my family on adaily basis. There is my favorite pool in the city (nicer than Asph.. Gre..) and the gym, sauna, steam room, cycling, etc...... My disabled son loves it as well along with my spouse and baby girl Kaylee. Man I can't wait to get there tomorrow.
Best kept secret in Brooklyn – This place is a gem! Many people think it is only for Starrett City residents but it is open to everyone and I just love it! I can't believe that I just saw it from the Belt Parkway and went over to check it out. Their personal Trainers are top notch and soooo much less expensive than anywhere else - I prefer the top floor with all the equipment and also use the pool a lot - Everyone there already knows me by name - that you don't find in most places - never crowded and clean as a whistle!
I lost it at the club! – This club is 100,00 square feet. Where in NY do you find anything as great as this? The competition sized pool has been voted the best in Brooklyn. The instruction and diversity in classes is awesome. The most friendly and welcoming staff. They are always giving you things for free and running contests, like I lost it at the club. They have my vote as # ONE. In the summer they have parties outside on the pool deck, breakfast lunch, snacks, DJ, free raffles and free giveaway party bags!!!
