Too bad... – I was really hoping for something good in Covington, Its not horrible food, I think they try. But it is so disorganized. The food is ok but it is to pricey for what you get. I tried this place a few times hoping it was just opening jitters, I give up. There is a lot of staff mulling around but no one appears to really be doing anything. I over heard a conversation between 2 of the staff in the restroom about how they were to keep moving but really had nothing to do. I watched and realized there were so many of them. Yet we could not get very good service. I asked a question a simple one, and the young lady looked confused and said oh I will get Don, I thought who the heck is Don? right?? The staff can not answer a simple question about the food? Don I soon realized must be the owner or manager, and is female, she bit this poor girls head off and then announced that she had more important things to do than answer questions. She barked orders to everyone and walks like a troll! (sorry Dawn) but you move fast doing nothing that I could see, other than harassing your staff. We were subjected to alot of information that I never needed to hear while trying to enjoy a mediocore meal. A little tip, close your office door, your voice travels! The service was OK, the kind you would expect from a new hire from some road side diner, the food was OK, it filled us up and emptied our wallet, oh yeah did I say WAY to pricey! It had a stressed uncomfortable feel about the whole place. After reading other reviews I believe the problem is with the mangement, the owner better get a clue quickly, there are so many other places to eat and spend your hard earned money, and from what I understand there are more to come in 4 corners. I would not recommend this establishment just for what I over heard. I really felt bad for the staff. On the upside a few in our party enjoyed the pasta, not home made but not bad for a sauce from a jar. The salad is ok I am assuming a bag variety, and the steak was ok but not really great. The dinner bread was not good, who serves sweet rolls with pasta? Really wanted to like the place. guess I will stick to my regular haunts, Testy Chef, The Cedar Grill, Glorias and Mommas. At least those places have knowlegable waitress's and a fun staff. BTW I am a manager of a small business, 20 young inexperienced staff members do NOT equal one well seasond and trained employee, just sayin.
