I have been coming for dinner to this diner for 10 years and it is one of the best in queens. For $20 you get a 5 course meal plus wine. You get so much food that you always take some home. The wait staff is gracious and see to it that everything is to your liking.
When you order dinner you get a basket of assorted fresh breads, which include hot delicious popovers. This is the only restaurant which serves home made popovers. iIwould come here just for the popovers.
My family and I have been eating at the Flagship for over 35 years and appreciate the fact that something from our lives from so long ago still exists and can be counted on. We have a lot of memories from this place.
This is my definite go-to diner for a Saturday morning breakfast or a late night craving for amazing chocolate cream pie.
I really do find it very good. Although, I also order about one of three things on the menu haha. Their pancakes are delicious, highly recommend. They also make the bacon perfectly crisp (just ask for it crisp). They make wonderful omelets, and I usually go for the muffin on the side instead of toast. Great muffins.
Yes. Staff is always pleasant, and I have had nothing but positive experiences here.
My wife and I walk in there and they know us and bring us our drinks without even asking what we want. If you are a regular or semi-regular, the Flagship Staff take care to know what your preferences are and treat you like family. The assistant manager and I give each other a hug every time we visit.
Open 24 hours & has a full bar. Good spot for grub after a nite out partying!
The clam chowder was one of the best that I have ever had. It was obviously made in the kitchen and was not some pre-made bulk item that came in a truck.
Try the carrot cake, my wife swears by it. The popovers in the bread baskets are awesome and their homemade tomato-garlic vinaigrette dressing is fantastic.
The food is decent, the staff is entertaining (Santos, Esteban, Naomi), the price is right and the location is near to home.
You want food when you want it and it's usually banana walnut pancakes right? Flagship diner makes them great!
