Worst Airbrush Tan EVER!!! – I have been a long time custumor of Frasada Salon and have never been disappointed with any of the services I have received, which is why I am so appaled by both the service and treatment I received after scheduling my first airbrush tan with Frasada. I have had several airbrush tans before, but have never had one done at Frasada. After I met Angela, I was led to a very small and very dark room at the front of the salon. I remember feeling as if the room was too dimly lit to administer a spray tan and, after removing my clothing, I realized that there was nowhere for me to stand in order to avoid letting other clients, people walking by the salon, and even people in their cars from seeing me topless as I allowed Angela back into the room. Angela asked me if I had ever had a spray tan before. I said I had, but never at Frasada. She laid down two towels and I was instructed to stand on them. She never asked me the color I wanted to achieve. She never gave me a barrier cream for my nails or palms. She didn't apply a primer to my skin first at all and after she had finished applying the color, I had to mention to her that she had missed a very large portion on both of my legs. She then wiped off my nails with wax paper and baby oil and told me to wait until I was dry. I was never air dried by her, but told to wait in the room for an indefinite amount of time. I was never given any other instruction as far as my airbrish tan after care. While dressing, I noticed the the tan appeared very spotty on my arms, chest and face which I have never experienced before. When inquiring about my concern to both receptionists, they advised me that the color would even out after showering the following morning. After stepping into the shower the following morning, I noticed the water appeared darker than what I was used to seeing. I stepped out of the shower and, without drying myself off at all, looked in the mirror and noticed that the tan had completely washed off. The tan line from my underwear was no longer visible. I went to Frasada that afternoon in order to discuss what had happened with Angela. She insisted that I still had a tan even after I told her that I was wearing makeup to conceal the discoloration. She also asked me if had shaven or rubbed my skin and I told her I hadn't. I also told her that I was spotty when I left and she insisted that it is typical for an airbrush tan to appear that way, even though I told her that I had never experienced spottiness after ANY of the previous airbrush tans I had received. At this point she had not apologized and continually blamed me for the change. After I showed her my orange palms, and discolored wrists, she told me it must have been from a self tanner or my last spray tan. I then told her that I hadn't used a self tanner or had a spray tan in months. Instead of realizing that she was in the wrong, she told me that she didn't want to argue with me and that all she could do was offer her services again. I told her that I did not want to repeat the airbrush tan because it did not take the first time and I did not wish to appear discolored or streaked for the wedding I was in the following day. She never offered me a refund (The tan cost me $50) and was more accusatory than apologetic even after I told her how upset I was with the results and how the wedding pictures would be ruined. I ended up walking out, almost in tears, due to the fact that I could not get through to Angela. Her actions were extremely unprofessional and her airbrush skills need an excessive amount of refining. I will not be returning to the salon and I will be leaving several negative reviews.
Everyone is fabulous – I went to frasada on a whim. I got the hole shabang that day. I got color by gabriella cut by dana mani and pedi with maritza and waxing with melissa they where all professional and well trained. they did exactly what I asked for. As I proceeded to check out I was given a lovly thank you bag with a 20% off coupon and some products. I have to say iv never went to a salon like this and I'm so happy I came!
Horrible Haircut for $55 – I went to Frasada to get my color fixed from the disaster created at another salon. They did a great job every time I went for color. The colorists Regina and Gabriella did a good job. However, I needed a trim the last time I went so I decided while I was there to get it from one of their hair dressers. I never had a cut or trim done at Frasada before so I got Norma through the receptionist. I asked if she was good the receptionist said yes so I went with it. I got my color done and then went to Norma for the trim. What a disaster. I told her i wanted my hair TRIMMED as I wanted to grow it out. I also told her I wanted my bangs TRIMMED up to the corner of my lips. I gave her very simple directions. She did not listen to a word I said and did whatever she liked to my hair. I went in there with three layers all even that needed a minimal trim and bangs that needed a trim. I walked out with more layers, all uneven, choppy, and my bangs were angled, wtf. I didn't ask for angled bangs. They start at my eyes and cascade down, this is not what i told her to do. I have NO distinct layers just a bunch of really uneven chopped up pieces of hair and I can't even wear my bangs to the side because they are angled and it looks ridiculous because the other side of my bangs are long. It looks uneven and lopsided. It was a lot of money considering I got the worse haircut ever. How hard is it to trim hair and keep it even? Why do they hire people who don't speak English and who can't even trim out hair evenly?
Yayyyy Brazilian! – I was recommended to Frasada by a friend who went in for a Brazilian Straightening. I initially just walked in to inquire about the different types of Brazilians they offer and pricing. When they paired me up with one of their senior stylist we realized that what I wanted was more that just frizz free hair, I wanted a new look. I had no idea what I was looking for, my only instructions to her were that it not be anything drastic.
To make a long story short...They cut in some layers, put a few highlights and the instant Brazilian straightening that has no wait time (loved that I didn't have to wait to put my hair behind my ears). I am so happy with the results. The desk and the girls really did go above and beyond with me and I am so thankful!
Finally Found It! – I first visited the spa at Frasada b/c I received a gift certficate. The spa was brand new and like a little escape. My services began with a foot soak and a sauna session which totally brought me to a relaxed state. I had a facial with Elsy who had an amazing touch and a Massage with Linda who gave me the best Hot Stone Massage I had ever had.
I especailly liked the fact that they gave me a welcome bag at the end of my visit. This had samples and literature in it but it also had a 20% off coupon to try the salon.
I was hesitant to use the coupon since I had been with my salon for the past 5 years but I had been feeling like a change. I am so glad I tried them bc I am beyond happy with my results. Regina was my colorist and I felt totally comfortable with her. She really knew what she was talking about. I am a "short hair girl" so she set me up with Josphine for the cut. I Love My Hair.
I am so glad that I found Frasada.
Don't waste your money... – I was extremely disappointed in their customer service. The manager and the owners are NOT accommodating AT ALL!!
don't waste your money on brazilian straightening - snooty girls work the front desk. – awful! got a brazilian straightening for $350 plus tip and didn't see one bit of difference to my hair, and their prices for single process color keep going up while the quality of service keeps going down. take your $$$ to technicolors in oceanside where they actually know what they're doing and the prices are more reasonable. since aldo and david sold their part of the business, it's never been the same. also, the girls who work the front desk will answer the phone again and again while you're trying to pay and get out of there. seems they're only interested in making $$ and could not care less about treating their clients with respect and courtesy. i would give it zero stars if i could.
