My husband and I encountered this short haird wicked women we didn't even make it throught the door.We spent our money somewhere else . What a nasty horrible excuse for a human being sh is.
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!! Older lady with short blonde hair was rude, racist, and disrespectful. I'm a white lady and had my daughter with me and her friend who was black. She knocked on the dressing room door and I said "just a minute" and she opened the door anyways exposing my daughter in her underwear. In addition, she insulted my daughter's friend while we were in the dressing room. I was appalled and disgusted. Upon exiting the dressing room, she swooped in on us like a vulture to take the dresses from us which was fine b/c I was not about to purchase anything from an establishment who handles business like that. Furthermore, I politely told her that I thought her comments were rude and unnecessary and I was upset that she exposed my daughter. She didn't seem to care. The man behind the counter asked what happened and I explained it to him and he said, "we appreciate your feedback". While we were there, 3 other black ladies entered the store in which that older white lady stared them down like they were criminals. They are customers just like anyone else and should be treated as such but that wasn't the case here. I will NEVER set foot in that store again and I plan on spreading the word. And come to find out, I'm not the only partner in town who had a bad experience. It's sad sad sad!
My name is Nancy Long. My husband and I purchase two gowns from the store. What a wonderful experience!!!!Thank you! We will return again !!
The short haired lady working in this store was incredibly rude to me while I was looking at the rack outside. So rude that I never made it through the front door. The owner should be appalled. They have to be losing a ton of business because the way she talks down to people. The ladies across the street had nearly the same experience as I did. I will never spend my money in that establishment and I plan on spreading the word to as many others as I can.
I was walking downtown today, mid afternoon, and a dress hanging on the door of Upscale Consignment caught my eye. My friend liked another dress for Halloween that was in the window. My friend and I were having a good time talking about the dresses. I was checking the price of the dress, and to see who the designer was, when I heard a women from inside say something. Once I found the short haired blonde woman's gaze I asked "I am sorry, what was that?" The woman abruptly stated "That isn't for touching!" I rebutted with "Oh! Well then I guess I won't buy a thing from here." I had not even walked into the door of the establishment when I had been "greeted" with such little civility. Needless, to say I will never return and I will inform all my local friends to avoid "Upscale" consignment. By the way, the clothes have already been touched, they are used! And $169 for a second hand, cheap, handmade-looking cocktail dress that isn't even lined is ridiculous, I will go to a cheap store such as Forever 21, or Charlotte Ruse and get it for $20 brand new.
