I expected better..but it was ok – I visited this new establishment on spa week.I didnt know they were new and maybe that should have put up a red flag for me...I stayed anyway admiring how pretty the spa looked. It was decorated in rich colored reds and cherry wood.I arrived five minutes before my 12pm appointment giving them time to set up for my facial so I thought.I had booked my facial a week prior.I had since then went back on their website and saw they did reflexology.Excited I called them wondering if they can add that service to my facial even though I'm booking it three days before my appointment. They gladly said yes and told me to come at 12pm instead of the 12:30 original appointment(my facial will be at 12..then my reflex afterwards).HOWEVER I still ended up waiting thirty minutes for my facial anyway, after 15 minutes of waiting I asked the receptionist how much longer do I have to wait(I mean I did have a appointment after all!!)She finally remembers I'm there and goes.."oh I will check".She informs me FINALLY they are running behind and that they will be ready for me soon.WHATEVER!...I WAS NOT HAPPY ABOUT RUSHING TO GET TO MY APPOINTMENT EARLY THEN HAVING TO WAIT 30 MINUTES.
My facial was good..yes I have had better.Call me spoiled but I like to lay down and be steamed by a gentle machine.Instead I had to sit upright on a hard chair and have wet,hot wash rags pulled out of a Crockpot to steam my face. The facialist was pleasant enough,a little abrasive my pleasant. She was pushing product but seemed to stop once I made it clear I wouldn't be buying anything today(my face was super soft with a nice glow however). My reflexology was done by a pleasant women I think by the name Lorna? She was the nicest one there and made my experience better.I fell asleep during my reflex twice.Would I go back again...well not for their facial (I like to lay down on a table with gentle steam and maybe have the option of extractions, which they do not do). However they were very friendly and the spa was pretty.
