Truly an awesome gym! I found this gym as a student at Cal Poly. I was discouraged that I couldn't get into any of the Poly Rec Center's classes because they were constantly full, and I hated feeling like I had to look at least a little "cute" to go work out. There are so many amazing classes at Equilibrium and the environment is so welcoming and laid back since it's all women. I never feel intimidated on the workout floor or in a class. I love that even though it's only about 5 minutes away from campus, it's such a different vibe. This is definitely for people who want to workout hard and have fun without feeling judged!
Equilibrium Fitness Is the Best – Equilibrium Fitness for Women is an amazing gym. The staff is super friendly and always ready to help. They offer tons of group fitness classes; Dance Aerobics, Step classes, and everything in between. The instructors do a great job at motivating the class in an upbeat, positive way. I have also had numerous personal training sessions with Julian. He is always encouraging and makes the work outs fun. I actually looked FORWARD to going to work out when I was a member here. Unfortunatley I have since moved out of town and my experience with Equilibrium was so great that no other gym can even compare. I highly recommend this gym to any and all women in San Luis Obispo, it is exceptional.
28 pounds and still dropping – As a "non gym" person, I have never felt comfortable in other gyms. All that changed when I visited Equilibrium Fitness for Women (formerly The Studio Fitness for Women). I had gained a lot of weight during my pregnancy but was never able to loose it afterwards. The Equilibrium staff are so supportive. They know my name when I come in and if I'm not there, they know it and get me back on track. I started with their great classes and then really made progress when I worked with a personal trainer (Lauren) who taught me how to workout more efficiently. I feel better than I've ever felt (28 pounds lighter) and would never consider working out anywhere else.
