In my opinion, the Italian food here is one step up from what you can get in a can.
1) The food is tasteless. The aroma of the food when it is brought tableside should pique your appetite, as it is most often redolent with spices and herbs. This food was uniformly bland: The Caesar salad was nothing more than chopped dry Romaine with bits of cheese and too much pepper, the Chicken Marsala, Chicken Scarpariello, and Veal Picatta absolutely tasteless, and the Tiramisu a disaster as it was devoid of any coffee flavor and heaped with a surfeit of chocolate syrup.
2) The menu is limited. The pasta sauces never even venture outside of the pedestrian entrées of spaghetti with a limited amount of sauces, ravioli, and lasagna, and a few veal and chicken dishes some of which were reviewed above. Compare their pasta list with Café Luna downtown and you will see the difference.
3) There are few good tables at which to dine. One half of the restaurant has the tables lined in a corridor that leads to the door which means that everyone entering and leaving has to pass you by, and some of the tables on the other(bar) side are close to the door to the kitchen.
If you have no taste, you will probably enjoy it.
