Best Rating!. I had always wondered why there were so many cars in Dante's parking lot. Then I saw the rating for Dante's here on Citysearch and decided to give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised! I've been back several times since and continue to be impressed.
Simply the best!. Dante's has the best pizza in the Capital District. Simple as that!
Addictive!. We first had Dante's pizza last winter while visiting friends in Troy. Since then we've been hooked! Now we drive from Colonie to Dante's at least once a week. Their pizza is alway so consistant. No skimping on the toppings and plenty of cheese on a pizza crust worth the drive from anywhere! But I suggest calling ahead for pick up as the counter is busy even during the week.
The Box tasted better. OK first let me say I don't understand the taste of the upstate New Yorker. I'm originaly from Philly and the true blue NY city style pizza is what I like. Most of the pizza's up here are too bready and the texture of the crust is all wrong. I recently tried Dante's because it was top in the ratings, boy am I sorry I did. It was very well done (burned). I didn't care for the sauce at all. The cheese was also burned. Come on... Make in more like I love NY and then you will have a pie!!! Yum Yum...
