Not for fussy businesses – I am the office manager of a small business. We have been a customer of W.B. Mason for three years. We are satisfied with SOME of the prices. When I say SOME of the prices, I'm saying that the W.B. Mason brands that they sell are obviously cheaper because it is their brand. However, the other items are always more expensive. This is where they catch you on free delivery. I mean they have to pay for trucks and gasoline too. The extra $10.00 on items probably go toward delivery charges. Also, they always deliver to us right when we are closed or after hours. This results in them delivering our order the next day. This issue goes against their "Woah, we deliver next day" nonsense. And, everytime you call customer service, you always have to fight with the representative because they tell you information that you were not aware of after the fact. This company is great for companies who are not concerned about fast service.
The person who wrote the review about WB Mason sending 70 sheet rolls vs 80 sheet rolls might be the dumbest person on the face of the planet!!! You are a complete idiot for even counting the sheets!!!! Come on, WB Mason is the largest privately held office products company in the world and they didn"t get to that level by cutting costs on the # of sheets in a roll of paper. You stpid, stupid person get a freaking clue!!!!
Beware Bait and Switch – I was very satisfied with the online shopping experience and delivery speed up, but the order accuracy and customer service were enough to make me say, "never again".
Among the items I purchased was a multi-roll package of Marcal paper towels prominently advertised at 80 sheets per roll. What I received was the exact same Marcal paper towels, but actually 70 sheets per roll. When I called customer service, they gave me some baloney about not being able ship via UPS and having to substitute this item. When I asked what options I have, like maybe a small credit, the customer service rep said they would not reduce the price and that I could keep them or they would pick them up and refund my money. I opted to return them. I hate being a victim of bait and switch. You would think it would cost them more in shipping/handling/fuel charges to pick up the package than to give me a credit of $2.
