That will take 3 days....... – Ok I should have known better.
I bought all of my gardening tools from little engines, so when my leaf blower started acting up I took in there for them to take a look at it (keep in mind it is about 3 years old). If they had said better off to buy a new one I would have done that. But they didn't, I told them the problem and said hey its 10/26 I have a bunch of people coming over for Halloween any chance I can have it back by the weekend? As I look at all the old lawn equipment filling the shop. Sure the guy says, sounds like you need a new coil, that will take about 3 days. So I went by on my way. So Thursday comes and I am all ready to tackle the pile of leave in my front driveway, patio etc... I stop buy Little Engines guy "No not ready yet, parts haven't come in" , It was still sitting where he laid it down when I first gave it to him 3 days ago.... Ok I said thinking humm rake and push broom time, well good exercise right? So the next week I called.... " Sorry can't come to the phone leave a message and we will call you before the end of the day".... Right left message hi its the guy who trusted you any chance you have my leaf blower working..... no call back... so tried to stop by a couple of time, closed early, not there... so I let it go for another week and then called, left numbers etc no call back again.... A few more drive bys and the place is closed up...
Now it is November 21, I went over as they were closing up. Hi I left my leaf blower. Little Engines guy"Your name?" It's me "Oh yea you, well are right at the top of the pile, its the coil, lets see I ordered that hum,, they never called me back, those are expensive" Me now ok thanks, I will take it with me, Littlle Engines guy "Well it's in a million little pieces in the back" Me ok put it in a bag "If that's what you want" Me yea that's what I want. (ya I wanted to wait a month while my leaf blower sat on some guys work bench in pile with half a dozen other pieces of lawn equipment strewn all over place, so I could come in and take it home in a big plastic bag in about a million little pieces, ya that's what I want all right)
Ok the guy did put it in the bag and didn't give me a hard time, He charded me $ 4.99 for a fuel filter, $ 3.00 for shop supplies? and $2.50 for Gas, it holds what 1/10th of tank. But I got off cheap. No blood was shed.
It could have been worse he could of claimed like an hour to take it appart and charged me $ 90.00 for that. So for that I am greatful.
But what I suspect and I should have walked out when I noticed he does not have new stuff or at least not a lot on display, is that they really don't want to sell or work on lawn equipment. They are big into golf carts, so if they have a golf cart to work on your stuff will sit. Once they run out of golf carts to work on they will get to what ever is still on the bench.... Ok fair enough, but he could told me that going into it. Not three days...
That's it, now I have to track down a coil and see if I can track down my owners mannual and see what they didn't put in the bag....
So I recomend that if you need something done or want to buy lawn equipment you go to little engines go there in about three days....
